  My family an dI had an amazing stay at Marriott's Frenchmans Cove. We had a two bedroom Villa.It was perfect for my kids. They had their own room and my wife and I were able to spend quiet time on the balcony having cocktails. Oue room was huge. The resort was close to all the actives my wife booked for us. The snorkeling was great, We rented a jeep and they had complimentary on site and close to our room. The pool was really handy with the kids and w were bale to use the pool at the hotel which was amazing. Basically we had a great time and we all want to go back next year.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  My husband and I wanted to get some sun, so we were headed to St. Thomas. We initially had reserved a room at Marriott's Frenchman's reef hotel. When a friend told us that we could stay at Frenchman's Cove for the same price, we found it hard to believe, but we were able to rent a two-bedroom Ocean front Villa with a full kitchen and laundry room for less at Frenchman's Cove. The views from our Villa were incredible. It was so nice for us to be able to really relax in the living room with the television and a movie in the evening while looking out and seeing the boats off in the distance in the water, then going into big master suite to sleep in the evening. Having a full kitchen meant that we did not have to go out to eat all the time, but we did enjoy going to the restaurants at the Marriott next door some of the nights. The pool was fabulous and had plenty of lounge chairs for everyone. The beach was fine, but we preferred the beach at the Marriott in front of the hotel because it was a little less crowded and the beach seemed to go on forever. This more than fit the bill for us. It was really more than we had expected. My only nitpicky comment is that I love having giant, plush towels in the bathroom and I wish they would have been oversized, but I guess you can't have everything. :)

  Our trip to St. Thomas was one that I will never forget. The kids loved the pool, waterslide, beach and the children's club. There were lots of other families so all of the kids made friends. Because we had a kitchen and our Villa, we were able to cook most of our meals there. The Villa was large without a dining table, so we had plenty of room for cooking, dining and watching movies together. I liked sitting outside on the balcony overlooking the ocean for breakfast every day. A couple of times, we went over to the Marriott Hotel and had dinner in their restaurants there. While we were there, they told us that we were able to use their pools and beach as well, so we did go swimming there a few days. We took advantage of the water taxi at the Marriott to go downtown. We did a little duty-free shopping, had a little lunch but then the kids wanted to go back and get in the pool again. Everyone was friendly and the Villa was very upscale. We had a great time and this is definitely the place to stay if you want to go to St. Thomas.
