Part of Palisades, a 101 year old complex featuring (on site): clay and hard-tru tennis courts (free), professionally supervised day camp/movies for children 5 years to 12 years (free), tennis clinic for children 5 years to 12 years (free), hamburger/malt shop, nature hikes through wooded dunes, 'Sugar Bowl' sand dunes, fishing in Brandy Wine Creek, baseball diamond, childrens' playground equipment, etc.
South Haven is 6 miles north, with numerous events during the summer, including the South Haven Summer Art Fair, the Festival of Cars and the National Blueberry Festival. Be sure to try a cruise on the new 'Friends Good Will' (1812 replica) sailing ship. Go berry picking (strawberry, rasberry and blueberry). Nearby activities include: hiking, biking the Kal-Haven Trail, golf courses, tennis, amusement parks and petting zoo and charter boats for salmon fishing. Saugutuck, with its serious shopping and over-the-top charm, is about 25 minutes north.
Mainly we sleep late, play tennis or hike, swim, eat too much and watch amazing sunsets from the porch. Pretty simple stuff.
