Located just outside of Annandale on the exceptional Lake Sylvia, this cottage has everything you will need to enjoy this beautiful Minnesota lake.
The lake is one of Central MN most popular summer vacation spots for outdoor activities. Be it fishing, boating, swimming, sailing, evenings around a campfire or just sitting on the dock in the sun, Lake Sylvia – and this cottage – has it all.
With no public resorts and very few cottages that are rented, this beautiful lake is usually very quiet especially mid week. Be warned however that you will be interrupted by the frequent visiting loons and their night-time calls.
Every summer numerous pairs will raise their chicks including one just across the bay. You will likely have close viewing of Loon chicks, something most people have never witnessed. It is common to see them just off the dock throughout the summer.
Photographers bring your cameras you might capture the chick on the adults back or one being fed.
The cottage sits on a truly gorgeous overlook of East Lake Sylvia facing South near the end of a peninsula. Check out MapQuest with an address of Pilger Avenue Annandale Minnesota, to see a view of the lake.
The cottage has three comfortable bedrooms, combined Living Room, Dining and Kitchen with a full bath. Freshly remodeled and painted, it is a very comfortable place to spend time inside.
Most visitors however seem to invest their days outside enjoying the lake. There are four decks or patios to enjoy, or you may want to spend hours on the dock or in the water. The lake water is VERY clear and to quote from the MN Dept of Natural Resources. ….
“Water quality is excellent and the lake is very popular for recreational use.” Wake boarding, sailing, kayaking, swimming, lounging in a floating chair, or just sitting on the dock with your toes in the water, there is much to do (or not do if you wish).
This cottage has the advantage also of being within an hour of Minneapolis for anyone wanting to commute. Annandale (12 minutes) offers close and convenient shopping for your essentials. Nearby golf courses are there for the golfers as well.
Book your visit early to insure wonderful memories this summer.
You will want to return!
