Enjoy 180 degree panoramic views of Lake Kalamazoo and the harbor from your own private decks on this very private waterfront home. Awake to the sunrise over lake and the geese flying by each morning. Have your morning coffee while watching the boats parade by in front of the house. Bring your fishing rod and throw a line off the dock and catch your dinner! Enjoy the town's romantic nighttime reflections across the lake while gazing up at the stars.
This house is located less than a mile from Oval Beach, voted "Top Beach in the Midwest" by the Chicago Tribune. It is about a mile from "Oxbow" the Art Institute of Chicago's summer/fall art school. You can walk to the chain ferry which takes you across the lake to the town of Saugatuck. The town of Douglas is a very short drive away. This house offers you a front row seat to the Venetian Fireworks display. The house is located in a very beautiful, private setting, in a quiet neighborhood. It is within walking distance of West Shore Golf Course and within a short driving distance of several other local golf courses.
The light filled house features 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs and all but one have lake views. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The 2nd floor is an open floor plan, with expansive views of the lake which includes a full kitchen with breakfast counter, full dining room, living room and a den with a fireplace. This year round house is not child friendly. The house comes with cable, internet and a sound system, and is air conditioned.
There are large decks for lounging on both the 1st and 2nd floors. It is great space for gathering with friends and family. There is a gas barbeque grill on the first level.
Whether you like golfing,tennis, boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, riding, theater, shopping, galleries, the arts or just enjoying a nice meal, the Saugatuck/Douglas has something to offer for everyone. That is one of the reasons the National Trust for Historic Preservation has named Saugatuck-Douglas on of its "Dozen Distinctive Destinations for 2009" for offering "cultural and recreational experiences different from the typical vacation destination". There are lots of golf courses, wineries, farmers markets, antique markets all within a few minutes drive. This is house would be ideal for a business retreat.
Reservations Deposit: A reservation deposit equal to one half of the total rental rate is required to book the house.
Final Payment: The final payment of the remaining one half rental rate is due 60 days prior to when you arrive.
Last Minute Rentals: Reservations made within 60 days of arrival require full payment
Method of Payment: Personal checks will be accepted. If within 30 days of scheduled arrival, then
certified checks or money orders are requested. All payments must be in US Funds
False Pretenses: We reserve the right to terminate or reject a rental if the reservation is booked under false pretenses.

A $1000 security deposit is required, along with $150 cleaning fee, 6% Mich tax
6% Mich tax. It will be returned to you within 30 days if there are no damages,
excessive cleaning or long distance phone charges. Maximum amount of
of people is 8. Summer Rentals are only available for a week or more
