We stayed at this Russian Hill residence and had a wonderful time. The house itself is beautiful and well appointed, with comfortable beds and furniture, nice linens and a kitchen containing pretty much everything we needed. The absolute best part was the stunning view from the roof deck. It's hard to beat having a glass of wine sitting up top, watching the sun descend behind the Golden Gate Bridge. Finally, I would be remiss not to mention how pleasant and accommodating our host was. I highly recommend this rental.

Our family (inc. 2 teenagers) stayed 5 nights in this awesome home! The location is even better than expected. A very quiet cul-de-sac in a great neighborhood. We were on a road trip so having parking was a huge bonus! But we walked or used public transit the entire stay. The bus stop and cable car stops are each a block away and the bay is only a couple of blocks away. Take a little longer stroll (or catch the bus) down Chestnut for dinner or shopping. Walk down Polk Street to Le Boulange de Polk for coffee/breakfast. The house is well supplied. The only quirky issue is the master bath has a hand held shower head. Loved the amazing views from the spacious living room and dining table. Rita was wonderful to work with! So glad we found this house. We enjoyed feeling like locals!

Our stay at this house was a nice experience. The location is very good; Fisherman’s Wharf is a 15 minute walk and the crooked section of Lombard Street is 2 blocks from the house. Restaurants are just a short walk away. The house is just right for 2 couples. The upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedroom both have private bathrooms, so 2 couples had complete privacy when needed, yet we had a nice large living room for spending time together. The kitchen, laundry room and bath rooms were stocked with all the basic amenities. Rita was available to answer questions and give advice. We could not have asked for a better experience. We felt safe in the neighborhood and because of the central location we never needed a car. We would stay here again.

If you are looking for a perfect home to relax in after a great day of sightseeing in San Fran, then this is the home. It is very comfortable, comfy beds with nice linens. The bathrooms are fantastic. The view from the rooftop deck is spectacular! The Golden Gate Bridge is your background for a nice glass of wine and good conversations with friends. I highly suggest this rental. You can walk to the Wharf but there is parking for a car which we rented for a day in Napa. I can't say enough good things about this home. Rita, the owner is great to work with and she was easy to contact for answering any and all questions. Renting a home is so much nicer than being cramped in a hotel room. There were 4 of us and we each had our own space. Thanks for a wonderful visit to California!!!

What a fantastic vacation home away-from-home in San Francisco! My cousin and I (both females) were looking to rent a 2 bedroom 2 bath home for a 4-night vacation in San Francisco...but I was concerned about safety. I didn't have to be...this home is located in a safe, quiet area and was just perfect for us. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the house was clean and tidy. The only "minor" complaint I had is that the master bath had only a hand-held shower head in the tub, which is too low for really showering or washing your hair, so I just showered in my cousin's bathroom which had a very large, beautiful shower stall. So it worked out just fine. Other reviews have mentioned the stairs...and it is true...47 steep stairs to the very top floor...so be prepared to haul your luggage up...and back down when you leave! (We would have loved to have our husbands along for the hauling part!) The good thing is that we didn't gain any weight while there from all the exercise we got on the stairs and walking around San Francisco...all the while eating yummy food! We also spent a night sitting on the top of the roof enjoying the sites of San Francisco and the Golden Gate bridge...with a glass of wine! What an awesome view of the Golden Gate from the roof, as well as the living room and kitchen. I highly recommend this property...and plan on visiting again next year! Enjoy your stay!

We did enjoy our stay!! The view from every floor was spectacular. We watched the sunset from the deck several times. Overall a wonderful place and a wonderful stay. The location was also perfect with everything we wanted to see either walking distance or easily reached by public transportation. We highly recommend your place and will look for it again the next time we come to San Francisco.

WE enjoyed our stay so much. The place was perfect and we loved the neighborhood. So easy to walk everywhere and Polk is the perfect neighborhood feel to it with grocery stores, nail shop, lots of great restaurants and nice local people willing to help with recommendations and conversation….Perfect location and so comfy. WE will definitely be back and I will recommend to others around the country.

A great choice of place to stay in San Francisco. It easily accommodated us (couple with two teenaged sons), and there would be room for up to six if using the aerobeds that can be provided. The house is stylish, clean and has all amenities - including all the "little things" for washing, cleaning, cooking that can easily be forgotten. Best of all it's on a quiet cul-de-sac in a quiet neighbourhood - the top bedroom particularly at the back of the house gets no disturbance. Had no problems with using the parking slot for our car. This is a very good compromise location to be in overall - 15-20 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf; 10 minute walk to a good selection of restaurants and health-food-type supermarkets on Polk Street, and 5 minutes to various bus and cable car routes taking you into Union Square, AT&T Park, etc (unless venturing out of the city you could stay here without a car). Wonderful views though generally so cold and/or foggy (well, it was August in San Francisco - what do you expect) that couldn't make much use of the lovely roof terrace. Highly recommended - we wouldn't definitely stay here again - and Rita was very helpful.

Great home with an awesome view from every level. Well appointed, comfortable, and in walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Washington Square, Cable Cars, etc. Don't get too overwhelmed by the hills. The walks to these areas actually go by rather quickly. Nice, quiet street and upscale neighborhood. Don't miss Mama's on Washington Square for breakfast. It is a must - but you must arrive early, or plan on waiting in line for awhile. Well worth the wait though. Would return again!

We couldn't have been happier with this rental! Very clean, well equipped, and within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. The roof top deck was peaceful with a view that was amazing! The owner was very accommodating and available all week whenever we asked for recommendations. This was our first experience with VRBO and we will definitely be using it again.

We had a great time on Culebra Terrace. Location was great, the views were spectacular. As long as you don't mind stairs, this place is an excellent way to spend your time in the city. We'll be back.

Even though our stay was short we enjoyed San Francisco and the house was wonderful. Only two blocks from the curvy block of Lumbard Street. We used DeSoto Cab company and they would be at the house within five to tem minutes.

We stayed here for a week while visiting my sister. This is a beautiful house, very comfortable and clean with great views of the golden gate bridge and the city in general. We are a family of five, two nine year olds who loved the stairs and the roof, and a two year old who loved everything but was kept safe by the latching gates on the spiral stairs. The place was plenty big enough for us. We did not rent a car, preferring to use the public transportation we don't have at home, and we never missed having one (though there was a convenient parking spot out front). We spent most of our evenings eating on the roof relaxing with the view of the golden gate after a long day of hiking around a really enjoyable city. Rita was helpful and easy to work with throughout. I did a lot of research before we picked a place and have used VRBO before with less than satisfactory results, but this place we'd all love to come back to.

This house was a great family vacation rental. We had two couples and 2 teenage girls for five days. The bathroom upstairs only has a hand held shower but the bathroom on the main level was awesome. We had no problem getting all six of us ready in the morning for a day of sight seeing. The house is within easy (but hilly) walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and all the other main attractions that San Francisco has to offer. There is an incredible view of the Golden Gate Bridge from all levels of the house but the most spectacular (day and night) is from the roof-top. The manager, Rita, was very helpful and prompt at answering any questions. We would stay here again if we ever make the journey back to S.F.

Wow! This apartment has it all! The stairs are a bit of a climb, however, once inside you will find a fabulous view. Watch an awesome sunset on the roof deck, view of the Golden Gate Bridge, the city and all that goes on in this glorius city by the bay.Rita was a "great" booking agent and suggested a street faire and music in the park. Don't forget to see "Wicked" while in S.F., a must see. Thank you Rita for making this an easy rental transaction. Dr. Thomas and Paula Daniel, Redding, Ca.

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our first stay in this house so much that we rented it for a second (longer) period, and would rent it again. The house is large and very nicely furnished. All necessities (including small things like cleaning materials, coffee filters, foil, etc., etc.) are provided. The view from the rooftop is spectacular, but the views from the two floors inside are great too. The location is perfect: close to Cow Hollow, the Marina, Ghirardelli Square, Fort Mason, Columbus Street, Polk Street, Union Street, etc., etc. We walk all over -- to the financial district, SOMA, Mission district, etc. -- but there's public transportation and a parking space for getting in and out of the city. Rita, the woman who manages the rental, has been great about responding to any problems or requests. Plus, she is very familiar with the area, and has lots of good recommendations. We highly recommend this vacation rental.
