The area has become one of the most exclusive and expensive areas of Paris, populated mainly by young professionals from the service and finance sectors. Residents include many people who have been disappointed by the Left Bank area and have moved over to the other side of the Seine. It is a very lively neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants.
