This is the perfect 'Home Away from Home' in Charleston. Located within the 'Historical District' of this river bound peninsula town, you will be able to easily walk to all its treasured sites. This 'Romantic Hideaway' is on the second floor of a traditional porch fronted Charleston home on a very quiet residential street, exactly across from one of the most beautiful and the most expensive Antebellum Mansion in all of Charleston. The 20'x 15' livingroom has two fireplaces and opens to the front porch (Piazza) with seating for dining, relaxing and a hammock for the occasional nap. The large kitchen is newly renovated with stainless steel appliances, marble floors, granite countertops and includes a washer and dryer. An oversized jetted soaking tub and separate glass block shower star in the bathroom reached through the charming bedroom. Chandeliers or plantation palm frond ceiling fans are everywhere. There is a double sized loft bed for extra sleeping. Perfect for 2, could sleep 3.
This apartment can be rented separately or combined, through a secure connecting door, to a second one bedroom, one bath apartment with its own seating area and kitchen. This apartment sleeps two and the combined two apartments sleeps 5 people.

The apartment was just as advertised and perfect for the two of us. The location provided access to downtown, and was a short drive to most of the things we were anxious to do In Charleston. If we were younger with more ambition we could have easily walked to downtown. We didn't use the kitchen facilities very much but everything that you basically needed seemed to be in place. The neighborhood was quiet and the off street parking very much a plus. It was still quite hot when we got there but then a cold snap put the temperature in the 40's. We can say that both the heating and cooling system worked fine.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Very satisfied with apartment. Met all my expectations. Was clean and had everything needed to cook your own meals rather than having to go out to eat every day. Porch was very relaxing and comfortable. Apartment is in a house that is about a hundred years old, but if you wish to be in this part of Charleston everything is about that age. Excellent place for bikers, city is very biker friendly. Shopping is within walking distance, but probably only if you are a city dweller and used to walking in the first place. I would, and may, stay there again in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our family had a great time enjoying this property in Charleston. Loved the large and open living room area and spent a lot of time on the piazza enjoying the view of the majestic home across the street. The master bed and loft bed were so comfortable we didn't want to get out of bed most mornings!! Convenient to all Charleston has to offer!! Just needed some measuring spoons and measuring cups in the kitchen for this amateur chef. We would come back here without hesitation!!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We wanted a base from which to explore Charleston and we found it! This apartment was immaculate, comfortable and provided all the essentials for a week's stay in the city. We had no car, rather we walked everywhere. The piazza, as I have learned to say, was our favorite place. We spent our early mornings and late evenings sitting there, overlooking a magnificent garden attached to the home across the street. The cable TV even allowed us to keep up with our Bruins and Red Sox. We would highly recommend to others.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We so enjoyed the home. It was just beautiful - so spacious and comfortable. We felt as though we were truly part of a different time. We could have spent our entire time there sitting on the porchand enjoying the neighborhood. For us, the main areas of King St., Meeting St., etc. were all a little beyond walkability, but parking was plentiful near everything so driving was not an issue. The tourism materials were very helpful in planning our visit. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This upper-floor apartment in a nice, quiet neighborhood has perfect location within walking distance (10 minutes) from downtown Charleston. It is very well-equipped and furnished, having a large living room, modern kitchen, gorgeous bathroom and nice porch. My wife and I stayed here immediatley following our wedding in Folly Beach. We both loved this place. It was clean and well equipped. The porch was awesome at night. The jetted tub was also very nice. While we were out and about in town more than we were in the apartment, the one day that we did stay in was nice because it was spacious enough to be comfortable, but small enough to be cozy. We felt like we were at home. For the price, this is absolutley the best deal that I could find when looking for a place to stay in Charleston. I would definitely stay here again sometime.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
