Have you ever enjoyed depictions of a peaceful Maine coastal village in a movie or great novel? You've just found the real thing in idyllic Winter Harbor! This house with historic charm is in the heart of it, right on Henry's Cove which opens onto Frenchmans Bay. The town is home to art galleries, shops, dining, community, golf, nature and wildlife, with Schoodic Point right next door.
Picture yourself relaxing on the large deck, fresh seafood cooking on the barbeque, looking out over the cove for eagles, seals, sailboats, or just enjoying the lullaby of the surf. Unwind inside as you absorb the sunroom's panoramic view, or nestle in the living room in front of the gas fireplace. Start your day sipping tea in the sitting area upstairs as you take in the working harbor's rhythm and listen for your own personal siren song.
You'll appreciate the amenities of this vacation cottage including cable TV and phone, full kitchen, dining area, full bath, and laundry facilities. Your party of up to six will be comfortable in the master bedroom and two upstairs bedrooms with double beds.
Come find everything you're looking for in a coastal Maine vacation without the press and crowds of the tourist towns.

Our week here was wonderful. Pictures do not do it justice, Pleasantly surprised to find home in very clean condition, well maintained with all the comforts of home. Open concept living was great for our family of 3 adults and 2 infants. The porch overlooking the ocean was a haven, even on a rainy day. (use a tarp). Sit here and watch the boat traffic come in and out of the harbor.Enjoyed using the BIG grille on the deck that worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable and the eat-in kitchen was large, open and well appointed with everything you need. Large washer and dryer (new condition) was so helpful to get us through the week with two children. Quiet location, close to town with great restaurants. Visit Bunkers Harbor restaurant and Harbor Girl Emporium for great food and blueberry pie. Try Gerrish's Provisions for a perfect chowder and sandwich. A must visit is to the 5 & 10 store on Main street, if they don't have it, you don't need it. Unique souvenirs and gifts from Downeast Maine. Right next door to the ferry that takes you on a scenic tour to Bar Harbor, a must ride to Acadia National Park and the Jordan Pond house for popovers on the lawn. I have rented several houses in this area over the years and this is one of our favorites.
