We have two homes on Sanibel. Our other home has a screened pool VRBO #186162 and is located less than a block away if you have a large group and need two homes.
Home located in the Dunes, a golf course community, close to the bay and gulf beach. Bay beach is approx. 300 yards from the home and the gulf beach with private beach access on the gulf less than 4 blocks.
Home has 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 doubles, 2 twins) + sleeper sofa, sleeps 10, 2 baths, fully equipped kitchen for cooking and serving, washer/dryer, large screen TV in living area with 150+ channel package including on demand movies. Home also has DSL internet connection and computer in living area. Large deck: 1/2 is screened and covered and has a 10 ft picnic table for outdoor dining. The other 1/2 is open for sun bathing. Home comes with 4 adult bikes and childrens bikes, gas grill, all linens provided.
New, 2 Kayaks and Bike Trailer to pull them to the bay less than 2 minutes away. Great for exploring the Bay or fishing.
We just finished a complete home renovation in late September 2009...fresh paint, new carpet, new tile and all new furnishings. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. But, when that picture is 5 years old and the furnishings and beds are now worn out and you don't know that until you walk in the door, it's to late. Our home was completely refurnished in October of 2009. Everything in it is new.

$1000.00 deposit to reserve dates, then becomes a damage deposit after check in and is fully refundable after checkout. Remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation policy: 60 days
Should cancellation occur outside of 60 days prior to arrival, deposit will be refunded less a one night cancellation charge. Should cancellation occur inside of 60 days prior to arrival, deposit becomes nonrefundable unless property can be re-rented.
Pet Policy: Allowable pets are small 15 lbs of less, short hair, house broken, not allowed on any furnishings, and crated at night. Pet charge is a non refundable $50.00. Pets must be disclosed.

The Unique Benefits at this House
We love to shell in the early morning at low tide. The shelling is incredible. In July of this year we found over 50 sand dollars one morning. We kayak in Dinkins bay and see manatee and porpoise that will come right up to our kayaks. Fishing is great on the public pier or causeway, which are a five minute bike ride away. With the bike pull behind carts we never drive our car once we are on the island. The Dunes golf course clubhouse is only a block away. They have great food, beautiful tennis courts and we enjoy playing golf in the late afternoon. They have great discounts and you meet people from all over the world who are visiting

This was our second time at this home and our tenth time on Sanibel. We love the island. This home is in a private golf course area. We enjoyed not having the traffic most locations on Sanibel have. We walked or rode our bikes every evening and met some of neighbors who were very nice. The Private beach is great during busy season. The home is not fancy but is very clean and neat. We have rented several home on the island in the past and would rank this one with the best for value and being clean. We enjoyed the bikes and our Grandchildren took the Kayaks out several times. The lady who owns this asked if we would write a review. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet place on the island.

Spring vacation 2011

We flew into Fort Myers and took the shuttle to the Island. This was our first trip to Sanibel but we do have several friends who live there. Our plan was to borrow a car if needed. The rest of the time we would bike to where we wanted to go. We only used a car three times. The home had a cart to pull behind the bike which is how we grocery shopped. The home has a very large living room and kitchen. Only four of us this trip but we are considering bringing the whole family down next year for spring break. The home is in very good condition and is located in a golf community. There is a private beach for the community. We also biked several times to the Sanibel pool and recreation center. It is a wonderful facility. Our grandchildren will love it. Sanibel is as advertised. The beach is covered in Sea Shells. We will be back. We have stayed with this home's owners at some of their other vacation homes. They are good to work with.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

We stayed at this home for a wonderfully restfull time. The home provides complete facilities and is most comfortable. The Gulf beach with the private parking was very much appreciated. My wife and I enjoyed the area attractions and especially the quite neighborhood location. We think almost anyone would be happy spending their vacation time here.
