The back yard is where you will truly find yourself, complete with your own private plunge pool surrounded by a luscious tropical garden, a large gazebo and a BBQ for entertaining.
Walk out the front door and you are in the heart of picturesque Hope Town. Hope Town is filled with charming pastel clapboard houses and tropical flowers. only 50 yards from the front steps you will find the ocean with miles of white sandy beaches. The settlement is complete with a tranquil sheltered harbour and the famous candy striped light house, making it a perfect location for breathtaking sunsets.
Enjoy boating, scuba, and snorkeling in the clear turquoise water of the sea of Abaco. Watch millions of stars fill the sky every night. Go fishing or shelling. Relax, read a book. This is the place to rejuvenate.

Our home is located right in the settlement, you don't need a car to get around. We have created a colorful comfy Island home with a very private back yard. All the benefits of being in town with the privacy of being out of the settlement.

My son graduated from High School and asked if he could take a friend to the Bahamas for graduation. We've visited Elbow Cay twice before. So, myself, two sons (ages 18, 15) and his college roommate stayed at B'haven. I couldn't have hoped for a better setup. It's perfect for 4 guys and is centrally located in town. The house is 1 minute to the boat slip, which B'haven organized. Ira met us as the dock when we arrived. Couldn't have been any easier. It's also 1 minute from a wonderful coffee shop. The charm of Hope Town is unique. We all agreed that renting a boat (Island Marine) really made the trip. We snorkeled, island hopped, and ate. I highly recommend getting a copy of the Cruising Guide to Abaco. Key in the GPS waypoints ahead of time. We just had a blast. Thanks for sharing your home.

My wife, baby daugher and Mother in Law thoroughly enjoyed our time at B'Haven! IIRC we were there for 10 days and had only 2 days of uninterrupted power from BEC!! Fortunately, it seems as though a backup generator has since been added to the amenities. The first floor bedroom was VERY helpful for my mother in law who isn't all that mobile these days. The kitchen was very well stocked and the plunge pool was a HUGE plus for the family. We were already looking to 2012 as our next trip, but the news of an on-site backup generator has us looking a little closer at the availability calendar!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
