Ocean Pines is a MUST VISIT destination (we'll get to all there is to do in the area in a minute). And, this is truly a MUST VISIT vacation home. I say home because you'll feel like you're there. It's only 10 years old and still looks like new! It's got those soaring ceilings you expect at the beach, and ceiling fans in every room! It's upgraded to the 9's including custom tile throughout, a gourmet kitchen complete with Corian, more custom tile, Amana and Jenn-Air appliances for the cook's delight! Home has 2 separate entertaining areas, 1 on each floor, and both with their own remote controlled gas-log fireplace if you're away for a romantic getaway during the winter season. The lower level media room has a full bath, is only 20' from the private boat dock and water's edge, and makes a great place for the kids to entertain and "crash" while the adults can have the peace and serenity of the upstairs to themselves. There is no outside shower, because there is no need for one....get off the boat or the jet-ski and go right to that full shower in the lower level...voila!! no footprints or sandy mess throughout the rest of the house!
Now for what there is to do in the area besides the expected water sports while afloat. What can I say? You are only 6 miles to Ocean City and all that it has to offer: Bay fishing and offshore world class Marlin tournaments, restaurants by the hundreds from fine dining to bars and grilles, a myriad of conventions at the convention center, fiddlers conventions, wine tasting, car shows, Springfest, Summerfest, and don't forget the AOL rated "top ten display of Christmas lights". Also, don't visit here without taking a short drive to visit Assateague Island National Shoreside Refuge...I'm sure I'm still missing something here, there is so much to do, but suffice it to say, there is absolutely something for everybody to do without going any more than 10 miles from this rental!!!
Now, if you don't want to even drive while you are here, Ocean Pines offers swimming, fishing, tennis, golf, free concerts on Thursdays, plenty of walking paths, parks and playgrounds, and most of this is within a 2 block walk from the home! Better take it for 2 weeks.....there is literally that much to do, and the only way you will get bored is if you WANT to! By the way, if you're getting away to "undo" instead of "do" as hard as it is to believe, This place is peaceful and quiet beyond belief and you CAN unwind in the peaceful tranquility of "The Pines" if that's what you are looking for! - Dockage for boat and jet-ski, private, tropical landscaping in front yard creates a great entertaining area. 25' boat dock is a great area for sunning, fishing, or crabbing. The waterside media room is only 20' from the waters' edge! Very convenient with its full bath for showering off the salt and sand after a day on or in the water. This room is also superb as a separate entertaining area for the kids and grandchildren while you have your own "adult" entertaining area on the main floor, also with water views of the canal, and a cooling breeze to be enjoyed while dining al'fresco waterside on the 3 season porch, or hammering away on those fat steamed crabs! All rooms in the home are imported tile except for the 3 bedrooms, so live it up....worry free; just kick the shoes off before entering the bedrooms! For ultimate convenience, this home is located minutes to the private boat ramp, 1 block to the largest public park in the "Pines". You can even hear the music.
