  Second wind is a nice vacation rental with great views from 2 decks, the hot tub was great and the property is a good place to take a dog.

  We stayed at the second wind the week of June 24-30th, and totally fell in love the house and entire area. This was our first trip to the outer banks and already planning on coming back next year. The house was very well equiped, and clean and has everything you need for a fantastic vacation. Very short walk to the beach was great. The hot tub was fantastic. The house is as described, and the kitchen is even bigger than we thought. Owner was very very helpfull and we would stay here again, and would highly recomend it to others for a relaxing time away. We vacationed with our 2 dogs, and the house and area is very pet friendly. House is close to everything you need, so very little time is spent running around. We can't wait to go back!!. Great place!!! Thank you.

  Even though "no swimming" was posted for over half the week, we really enjoyed the house and the area. Lots of activities available and the house was perfect for just chilling out. Close to the beach and in reasonably good condition on arrival, this was a nice homey house and we plan to go back next year! Traveled with two adult children and our dog and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained...fishing, golfing, kayaking, canoeing and general sightseeing. Wireless internet was fast and hot tub was wonderful! Photos are accurate and descriptions right on. The owner answered questions promptly. Thank you for a perfect vacation week!

  The house was as described. The decks were GREAT. The ocean view from the top deck was really nice. The lower decks all had gates which are great for kids and dogs. The kitchen was roomy and had enough seating for 12. We found the hot tub very relaxing after a day at the beach. The owner was responsive to questions.

  Great location. Very clean and very comfortable. Minor issue with hot tub but owner remedied situation immediately. Very cooperative owner who went out of his way to make this a positive vacation experience. Would definitely rent this property again. Beach access was close and easy. Great views. We love Awful Arthur's restaurant. Had dinner there 3 days out of 4. Bartender Tony is the best. Outer Banks Brewing Station was pleasant diversion.

  This is a great place to rent! The house was well appointed and supplied with everything we needed to have a relaxing week at the beach. The top deck has a great view of the beach and ocean. The kitchen was spacious and we made good use of it. The hot tub and game room kept us busy through out the week. The location was one of the best things we liked about the house. It was close to everything and it took us 4-5 minutes to get to the beach. You can't go wrong with the Second Wind.

  The view is breathtaking !!! from the top deck. The cottage has plenty of room for privacy or party time. Very good location with little traffic and quiet neighdorhood. Would definitely recommend this property for a family looking for a place to have a wonderful vacation. Owner was very nice and accomadating. The house is safe for kids and animals and ocean just a hop, skip, and jump away. Well worth the money!!!

  This was perfect for the relaxing vacation that I needed. you only have to walk one short block to cross over the sand dune and be on the water. I was concerned about a beach vacation in November but it was beautiful and quiet. When it was a little too chilly to walk the beach, I just went on the upper 2 decks and I could see the ocean, smell the salty air and hear the birds. The upper deck off the roof had reclining deck chairs and the night sky was clear and full of stars. it has a gorgeous view from the top floor and the upper 2 decks. I was able to take a lot of incredible pictures. It was nice to hear all the sounds of nature instead of the constant hum of traffic. This property was clean and well maintained . the owner was very helpful and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this property. It was easy to locate and is just a short drive to shops and dinning. The hardest part of this vacation was having to leave and go back to the real world.

  Our group had an awesome time staying here! The owner was extremely easy to work with, and the house was so nice. The inside of the house looks even bigger than in the pictures--we had plenty of space. The beach was wonderful also. We could leave our beach chairs by the ocean all day without having anyone bother them. We had a great time on our vacation! :)
