Had a very relaxing time at this cute cabin. Great place to get away from the day to day and just relax. The lake was very quiet and peaceful and the cabin was very comfortable and up to date. Everything was clean and well maintained. Ernie was very helpful and quick to respond with questions. There is a great little spot across the lake with a basketball hoop, fire pit and horse shoe pegs.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We celebrated our New Years at this location, and we had a great experience. The kitchen was far more stocked than we expected, with a lot of spices and condiments and such. The lake is a great place to walk around, complete with a fire pit and public firewood, horse shoes, and remarkably social birds. The cabin included a fireplace, a reasonably widescreen TV, and one of the nicest home coffee makers I've ever seen. When searching for a cabin, our litmus test was a hot tub, and we were very pleased with the one available. From various points of the cabin, there were maybe 3 or 4 other houses visible, but most were unoccupied, and we were there at what we'd presume is something of a peak season. And that's the closest thing to a complaint I can make. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

I have stayed at this charming cozy cabin about a half dozen times and have enjoyed each stay. The cabin is very warm and inviting and a great place to relax. The gated community is very friendly and safe. I enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake, taking the girls fishing, and to great little places like slippery rock where you can slide down a very little waterfallish (5') rock into a cozy pool of water! Very relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of city/suburban life. If you choose, there is a great little casino about 15 minutes away and the town of Oroville is also not too far. Worth every penny!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

About the owner: My name is Ernie Sexton & I am a Realtor in the San Francisco Bay area. I have a sweet Labrador Retriever & two beautiful daughters. I try and make it to Casa Cabina whenever possible. I like warm inviting places that are cool & unique. I strive to make this cabin reflect that! Casa Cabina is a relaxing & comfortable place for everyone.
Why the Owner Chose Berry Creek:
I chose to purchase this property because it is one of those true 'hidden gems'. The cabin is on a small private lake & only a three hour drive from the bay area. It's such a sweet community & so beautiful. My cabin is private & surrounded by trees.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
There are many unique benefits to staying at Casa Cabina. Walking around the lake, swimming, soaking in the hot tub, fishing, canoeing, hanging out on the deck, barbecuing, hiking the back trails. There is antique shopping located in downtown Oroville, just 18 miles down the hill as well as Gold Country Casino for night time play. This is a wonderful place for children, pets & adults!!
