Year Purchased: 1979
Life is too good to sit still so when I am not enjoying the beaches of Sanibel Island, FL or Virginia Beach, Va. I might be fly fishing in Montana or Wine Tasting with my Fiancé on the Wine Trail of So. Illinois. My family consists of 4 children and their families and they all love to come to GraMicki's place on Sanibel. We rent 3 more places, make it a family reunion and everyone goes home with sunburns & happy memories. That includes "LuLu", my Dachshund. Oh, so many things to sniff and roll in.
Why the Owner Chose Sanddollar
I grew up in Florida and on my first trip to Sanibel I found the ambiance I missed while visiting other Islands. No high-rises or stop lights. Just Florida like it ought to be. Miles of bike paths, millions of shells on sugar sand beaches, wildlife preserves, abundant fishing, gorgeous water and fabulous sunsets. We found this low density complex, small enough to feel private but still have some social contacts around the pool. I love sharing it with the many guests who have rented from me over the years
Sanibel is still unique and a place of it's own.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Ending the day with a bottle of Champagne on the beach at sunset. Listening to the waves trickle over the shells while lying in bed at night. Early morning walks on the beach with the dog and a cup of coffee and later a walk down the beach to Thistle Lodge for lunch and music around their pool. It's a short bike ride to most all of the quaint shops or beer & shrimp at "Lazy Flamingo". Entertaining friends or renters from other condo's that I've met at the beach or pool. It truly is "MY SANIBEL PLACE".

The pictures looked great and the owner communication was excellent. I had high hopes that this place would be great. However, great doesn't come close to the absolutely perfect experience we enjoyed. Everything you could want is here and it even had a few things that I decided I needed to add to my house when I got home! Perfect touches and complete care has been given to every detail i.e. original and intriguing artwork, professional lighting, dimmer switches, huge wirlpool tub, luxurious linens, gorgeous window treatments. I could almost cry just thinking about the large screened in lanai and the breathtaking view it provides. Stop looking at other Sanibel properties and just stay here, you will never forget it.

“We stayed in this condo the last 3 weeks of January 2011 and had a wonderful time. Over the last 10 years we have stayed on Sanibel, we have stayed in at least four different condos in the SandDollar complex, one of the nicest condo complexes on the island. And this condo was the best of them all, so clean and well maintained. The décor was beautiful and the kitchen, in particular, was the best-equipped and best appearance. The only negative was the living room couch and chairs that were so low and soft that my wife was not comfortable in them because of her chronic back problems. But that was more than made up with the Master bedroom bed that was the most comfortable she has slept in ( I’m going to have to buy a similar one for our home ). The first week our daughter and two of her children (aged 2 and 4) stayed with us. The second week my sister and brother in law stayed with us, and they all agreed with our observations. The final week my wife and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere by ourselves. Thank you for sharing your condo with us. We plan to be back again next year.

Thank you, Mikki, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a great time and would highly recommend your property to others. The location was very convenient to area attractions and grocery shopping. Your photos of the condo are excellent but it is even nicer in person. It is clean, well maintained and offers an outstanding view of the ocean. We visited with my 1 year old and 5 year old, along with my mother in law and had a blast. Looking forward to next year!!!!

This condo is wonderful! Everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and very updated. Everything was in perfect working order and very clean. My favorite place was on the large back porch which is screened in. I loved sitting in one of the chase lounges and reading my book. Lots of lighting even on the back porch. Also, there is a closet on the ground floor just for this unit. Inside is everything you could need for the beach including a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and 2 huge inner tubes. Oh and wireless internet is provided so I could keep up with my email! :) I highly recommend this condo.

My wife and I spent a week here in May and had an incredible time. The condo is absolutely beautiful in every detail. Every possible amenity to make you feel right at home has been taken care of. The unit was immaculate and so well maintained. We loved the lanai which was very spacious and had a beautiful direct oceanfront view. We walked the beach every morning and at times you felt that you had the beach all to yourself. It's truly an unspoiled paradise. Micki the owner was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with.
