We just came back from one of the best vacations we have ever taken, partly from the chosen destination of Sanibel Island and from the excellent condo we rented. The photos well depict the property, but cannot illustrate the sea breezes and quiet that abound in this end unit. The condo was very clean, wonderfully decorated in "island style" with attention to detail and had all amenities covered. This included cooking items and an open kitchen so that even the ocean was visible while washing dishes. Also, included were WIFI, a large flat screen TV, very comfortable furniture and lots of books and games. Beach chairs, umbrella and other beach items were located in a large downstairs closet for very easy access after leaving the condo on the way to the beach. The lanai was so inviting that we had almost all of our meals outside, many by candlelight. It was difficult to visit a restaurant when one could have such a wonderful atmosphere for dinner. Not only was this individual condo delightful, but the entire complex was well landscaped and maintained and had all of the facilities one could ask for, tennis, pool, beach front and grills. Also, this condo complex is very centrally located on the island with easy access by bike or car to groceries, restaurants, shops, etc. The property will also easily accommodate wheelchairs from the shower to the porch. I searched for a long time to find a condo that would be quiet as my husband has an aversion to noise and this one fit the bill, but we also went after spring break thereby escaping the throngs of visitors. The shelling was enjoyable and watching dolphins and pelicans while sitting on the beach was a bonus. Ken, the owner, was very accommodating from the placement of the reservation through our time at the condo. He even called while we were there to see if everything was going well and to ask if we needed anything. He gave us recommendations as to activities and his suggestions such as restaurants and a ride on the Sanibel Thriller, a jet boat ride through the islands, that made our trip unforgettable. The wildlife that abounds on this island is wonderful - from the alligators to birds we had never before encountered such as egrets and heron. We ran out of time to do all that we had planned to see on this island so we shall have to return. When we do return, we will definitely rent this property again and we will pass on this specific property to friends. Truly, I wish I were still there!!!!

We had a wonderful week and the Condo provided privacy, comfort and a very relaxing restful home away from home. The view is spectacular and this stretch of beach is one of the nicest on the island. We really appreciated the clean, well kept accomodations.

Perfect for wheelchair vacationers. We rented a beach wheelchair from Billys and it worked great. This condo has the nicest layout with the living quarters in the front and sleeping in the back. The view from the balcony was fabulous. We saw dolphins almost every morning. Ken is wonderful to work with. We had the best week and will be back.

The entire week was great, we could not have been more happy with the unit, the Sanddollar complex, and Sanibel. I'll comment on each of the three. The unit: We were able to maneuver the wheel chair around the unit will no problems. The guest bedroom, master bedroom, and master bathroom worked out perfect. Love the way you have it decorated, and the view, what more can you say about a million dollar view. Sanddollar: One of the nicest, cleanest, well kept places we have ever stayed. And the low key, private atmosphere was exactly what we were hopping for, just perfect. The beach is the best part of all, we are beach rats, we can hang out at the beach sun up to sun down. Sanibel: Love the non-commercial aspect, the way everything is secluded, and hidden is nice. Everything is close and very accessible. But to be honest we did not see much of the island, mostly stayed back in Sanddollar. We did take a drive over to Captiva one evening, a beautiful drive. We want very much to return next summer. Thank you for all of your help and concern, look forward to a return trip next summer,

The condo was AWESOME! We can not say enough about the excellent view and the ammenities offered here! The laid back lifestyle of Sanibel was a nice change from our hectic lives here at home, and your condo definitely was our "home away from home." The extra little touches that you guys have thought of, like all of the beach toys, beach boards, chairs, and umbrellas in the storage closest downstairs was wonderful. We also enjoyed looking through the many shells that you guys have collected and left in the condo. We enjoyed playing the board games after a relaxing day at the beach as well. We hope to come back again...SOON!!!! Thanks again for all of your hospitality! Pam, Tracey, and Noah

As we had not personally seen the unit before staying here, we had to rely on the "photo tour" online. The unit was even nicer than the photos showed and the "handicap friendly" changes and upgrades made by the owners really made our stay easy and comfortable for my husband. We have already booked this unit for next year and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. In our future trips to Sanibel Island, this unit is the only place we will stay.

Fantastic accessible condo

My family and I have enjoyed staying in this condo for three vacations. The ocean view from the lanai is spectacular and the decor of the unit is lovely - really bringing the beach theme right inside. The kitchen is well equipped, and we have made good use of the gas grills the resort offers. The grounds are attractive and the pool is well maintained. The pool area has plenty of lounge chairs surrounding and is never crowded - one of the benefits of a small complex. The boardwalk to the beach makes getting to the ocean very easy. Our two adult sons have limited mobility so we greatly appreciate the thoughtful attention to details the owners gave in making the unit totally handicapped accessible. The owners always check in during our stay make sure our needs are being met and to ask if there is anything that needs to be improved; in our experience, this is truly exceptional! During our stay we make use of the services of FISH to borrow medical equipment, and we rent beach wheelchairs from Billy's which allows all of us to take advantage of the beautiful beaches in front of the resort. We are looking forward to our stay next year!

This condo is on 2nd floor with elevator.there are ramps with a wide doorway and wide hallways.Ramps also make it very accessible to lanai that is a beatiful view of Gulf of Mexico and the white sand beach.You are so close you can see the dolphins swim by.Master bedroom has a wide door(36") for easy access to king-size bed.Master bath as wide walkway to commode and roll-in shower.2nd bedroom and bathroom are not aceesible as doors are too narrow.Kitchen is very open and has plenty of room to cook from your wheelchair.Condo is completely wheelchair friendly.Condo is fuuly equipped with cooking utensils,pots, pans ,dishes ,etc.Swimming pool and beach are completely accessible(no steps).Sannibel is very wheelchair friendly with wheelchair access to fishing,ecology boat tour of Tarpon Bay,etc.A wonderful getaway to enjoy the sun and fun.Great shelling also.

Perfectly Located and Beautifully Appointed Condo on Sanibel

Located directly on the beach with a beautiful panoramic view of the Gulf out the large sliding glass doors that lead to the screen-enclosed lanai, this condo offers every amenity to a visitor. The owners have thoughtfully provided for every desire/need, from a huge HDTV to beach towels. We have visited Sanibel since the early 1970's and this condo ranks as first in a long list of motels, inns, cottages, and condos--both on Captiva and Sanibel. Shelling on the beach, visiting plentiful restaurants, hiking through nature preserves, and bicycling are just a few of the activities readily available. Highly recommended to all!

An utterly amazing Sanibel condo

We just returned from a week at this wonderful condo. It is expansive, uncluttered, completely updated and beautifully furnished. The location and views are unparalleled - the grounds are beautifully maintained as is the condo. We so appreciated the helpful information re shelling, restaurants, etc from the owners -it was like having great friends on the island. We saw a lot of the island and its many other great accommodations by bicycle and on foot along the beach - we were always glad we were staying here. The pictures are so nice, but of course don't do it justice. We'll return to Sanibel and will definitely plan our triip around the availability of this particular condo.

This was our 3rd trip to Sanibel and it is truly a garden spot. The condo is just beautiful and the view is to die for and very nicely appointed. It has easy access to the beach and all you have to do is bring your bags and relax and enjoy the fabulous view from the lanai. The condo is an end unit and very quiet and the grounds are very well maintained. The owners are wonderful people who take pride in making sure the condo is well stocked and maintained. Overall we had a marvelous time and would rate the condo and owners a 10 out of 10.

We've have been coming to Sanibel every year for the last 35 years. This is probably our favorite condo of all. It is beachfront, comfortable, immaculate, nicely updated and well situated on Sanibel. We loved how we felt right at home the moment we walked in. And, thank you, for having beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, coolers and more, for your guests use - that was perfect. The property is beautiful, as well, with a great pool area, gas grills to use and beautiful landscaping. We just had the perfect vacation! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Sanibel home, for your attention to detail and for your sincere care and consideration of your guests. We will be back!!!

Great Vacation Condo!

We have been vacationing on Sanibel for nine years & this condo is my favorite so far. It was clean, decorative & a home away from home. We liked the large screen TV, tile throughout & huge shower. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The owners were great to deal with as they were informative & really cared about our family having a good time. The beach area in front of the complex was a great shelling spot. This condo will be our first choice for future vacations on Sanibel.

We just returned from two fabulous weeks at this Sanddollar condo. We have stayed at Sanddollar in the past and this is the 5th different unit we have rented... it is by far the nicest we have found at this complex. The owners' attention to detail is evident and we did not want for anything during our stay. The unit is completely updated and comes with everything you will need for a fabulous stay on this beautiful island. We have already booked our return trip and plan to stay in this unit again. Thanks for your hospitality and for allowing us to share your little piece of paradise.

Our visit was nothing short of perfect. The condo was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished with modern conveniences. It is obvious that the owners love this place as they include personal touches that make the condo feel like a home away from home. It is definitely a place to return to since the area offers so much to do and see. Leaving the beautiful ocean to take in all the other sights was difficult however!

The Perfect Romantic Getaway!

This is an excellent condo to stay in. The pictures on the this website do not adequately show how beautiful it is. My husband and I recently stayed here while on our honeymoon, and it was the perfect romantic getaway! Nicely tucked away in the corner of the small condominium complex is what gives it a sense of privacy. This condo is decorated with a very homey and personal touch by the owners. There is no doubt that the owners really care about their guests. From beginning to end we were treated extremely well and were provided with all of the information we needed. All of the basic's in order to do laundry, wash dishes, run the dishwater, etc. for our stay were provided in the condo. We loved how the bedrooms were separated from the rest of the living space, and how the kitchen and eating area was wide open to the living room. My husband and I also loved sitting out on the screened in porch that overlooks the beach. During our stay we walked on the beach looking at all of the shells, swam in the heated pool, went out to eat and to some of the local attractions. The central location of the condominium complex on the island gave us the opportunity to go places without having to drive very far. We had a a nice, relaxing week. We highly recommend this condo and look forward to vacationing here in the future.

My husband and I and two daughters and son-in-laws stayed at Sanddollor C201 the last two weeks in July of 2010. We have been to Sanibel each year for 34 years and now are in need of a handicapped accessible condo as Tom is using a walker and needs added grab bars etc. in the bathroom. Not only were the special needs we required met but we all loved the entire condo. The online pictures are lovely but, in person, the condo is so much prettier and the view is the best we have had in all of our years on the island. The kitchen is awesome! We tend to eat out a great deal when on vacation but, we could really live in this condo so very comfortably and never leave! The huge island kitchen area is great. There are tons of cabinets filled with any possible cooking tool needed. The library of books and games and island references is really a welcome addition. Both bathrooms are excellent and the bedrooms are furnished so nicely. The hall closet is stocked with beach towels and extra bedding for the sleeper in the living room. The porch overlooking the gulf has a beautiful view of the gulf and the vegetation is so pretty and tropically wild and "islandy!" The boardwalk to the beach is right next to the building and provides a carefree path to the gulf. Our grown "kids" loved the pool and liked a quick dip after being on the beach all day. Our next year's vacation to Sanibel will once again include staying at Sanddollar C201. Barb and Tom

We enjoyed our time at the condo very much. It is located in a small condo unit so you do not have a lot of traffic or noise. The kitchen is very well equipped. We found everything to be very comfortable! The information provided by the owners on restaurants, recreation, and church was very helpful since we had not been to Sanibel before. Be sure to check the storage closet under the condo building for chairs and other beach items. This was one of the most relaxing, enjoyable vacations we have ever had.

This is a very nice condo, I don't believe the pictures did it justice. The owners were very communicative and helpful before, during and after our stay. I felt very comfortable in the unit and knew exactly what we needed to bring and what would be provided. All of the amenities of home were available, and the large screen TV was great! The beach in front of the unit is very nice. It's large, has a lot of seashells and the ocean is fabulous! We were there at the end of May and were thrilled at how quiet the complex and the beach was, it was almost like our own personal resort!! We would definitely rent this condo again!

My husband and I spent an unforgetable week at this beautiful condo. The pictures do not adequately show how nice it really is. From the lanai the view of the beach is gorgeous. I would highly recommend this condo for your stay in Sanibel Island. The property is right on the beach. Having the pool was a great option! If you want your stay in Sanibel to be relaxing, then this is the place for you. It is away from the hustle and bustle of some of the other resorts, which from the other renters in the complex's point of view, is a PLUS. The owner of the condo was top notch!!! He exceeded our expectations!!! He kept in touch with us while we were on vacation to ensure our accomodations were satisfactory. He recommended things to do. I would ABSOLUTELY rent this condo from him again. During our stay we went to Captiva to see the sun set. A must!! We went on the Thriller Boat ride around the island. Be prepared to get wet!! So much fun for the kids.(10y and 12y) We also went Kayaking at Tarpon Bay, also a must!! Great workout:) Pinocchios for icecream...yummy!! Enjoy this as much as we did!!!

The condo unit is a tastefully decorated unit that is perfectly layed out for families. The bedrooms are situated in the back with common areas and lanai on the Gulf-side which makes it a great place to enjoy a family vacation (easy for adults to gather and socialize after the kids go to bed). The unit is fully stocked with everything your family will need on vacation. The bathrooms are all updated and the double sink in the master bedroom is a nice feature. The pool and tennis courts were very well maintained and nicely situated on the property. The beach is very private and the boardwalk to the beach is lined with beautiful native vegetation. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and made our experience especially enjoyable. We can't wait to go back!"
