This property has two houses on a huge lot. A small part of the kitchen, the office area and a corner of the second bedroom has a shared wall, but it feels like a separate home. The bedroom with the queen bed is off the living room providing good separation of space for privacy. The deck off the kitchen overlooks a large landscaped yard which is used exclusively by the occupants of this home. Have your coffee or tea in the morning sunshine and listen to the chirping birds. It feels like you are out in the country yet you're so close to the city action.
This charming, one story home with two bedrooms, an office area and a remodeled bathroom is in the El Cerrito hills just a 10 minute drive to North Berkeley and a 4 minute drive to rapid transit (BART). It also has easy freeway access (I-80). The 10 minute drive to Berkeley is on a scenic, two-lane residential street with light traffic, just a few stop signs and one stop light - a very pleasant drive. You can also go by freeway (I-80). On rapid transit San Francisco is a 30 minute ride and downtown Berkeley and the UC campus is a 9 minute ride.
There is a neighborhood park a block away with tennis courts, play structures and a grass field. Two miles away is an entrance to the East Bay Regional Park, the largest regional park in California.
