Welcome to Les and Teri's 'AquaDream'!
Crescent Beach is primarily residential, with private homes and low-rise condos mixed throughout this small oceanfront community. Because of the area's low population, the beach is always clean, never crowded, and peaceful. It's a very unique beach community and only minutes from St. Augustine! !
The Crescent Sandpiper Condo complex sits at the keystone of Crescent Beach. It's built on a high dune and affords perfect ocean views - even from our first floor unit! Access to the pool and beach is right out your sliding door! Literally steps to the pool. Or, simply open the beach gate and you're on the sand. There are no long walk-overs here. (see pictures)
Our completely rebuilt unit, 'AquaDream', shines. Enjoy the views of the ocean, sounds of the surf, and soft sea breezes.
NOTE: This unit is not the right choice for small children, college students, Spring Breakers, Family Reunion Members, or Party People! Guests will need to provide copies of their driver's license and auto registration before reservations are confirmed.
We spend our winters here (Nov - Apr) and are making our beach home available approximately 10 weeks per year during our absence. Once those weeks are reserved, the calendar will be closed. The reason for this is simple: We want to maintain the quality and comfort of our beach front home for ourselves and our select guests.
We're looking for couples who can appreciate, enjoy, and know how to care for a beautiful residence. We have not stripped this unit. You will enjoy its full amenities just as we do: Comfortable furnishings, original art, decorator accents, Crate & Barrel china, Bosch dishwasher, fine linens, pool lounge chair covers, 6' jetted tub, just to name a few.
In general, it's our idea to offer you a sort of "time share" without the buy-in, monthly payments, or a locked-in week. Ultimately, we'd like to identify 6 to 10 couples who would enjoy visiting the beach periodically during the summer and can appreciate the quality of their surroundings. Why the Owner Chose Crescent Beach
AquaDream is the realization of years of searching for just the right winter home. From North Myrtle Beach, St. Simon's Island, to Daytona and Cape Canaveral, we looked for an "old fashioned" community but with all the modern amenities.
Crescent Sandpiper, originally built in the '60s, fits the bill. It sits on a high dune. From our living room sofa, we can see the surf, watch for dolphins, and enjoy the beautiful morning sunrises. This complex could not be duplicated today. As a result, we have no long dune walk-overs!
When we first saw the complex and our unit, both were in a very sorry state. The complex was run down. The tennis courts were hardly usable and from the landscaping to the pool furniture, all was neglected and in disrepair. Our unit was no better. Doors missing from the kitchen cabinets, holes in the drywall, electrical system not working, bathrooms ... well, you get the picture. But, the location, complex elevation, and bones of the unit -- perfect.
A call to the association president revealed that a total renovation was planned. "How 'total'," we inquired. "From a new roof to the underground sewer lines," was his reply. It took about a year and a half and $3.5 million for the complex renovation; our unit took almost as long as we gutted it down to the concrete block.
Now, AquaDream is our winter home and we love it. Furnishing and artwork have been chosen with care. Our local contractor and our decorator have added those little touches that make for a comfortable home. We're particular about housekeeping, too, and our personal housekeeper will be maintaining the unit after each guest. And, yes, she receives the entire departure fee :)
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The key element that 'sealed the deal' for us, in addition the all of the above, was access. You'll park literally steps from your front door (think groceries!) From your patio overlooking the ocean, it's 7 steps to the pool gate, and once through the pool area, it's 3 steps onto sand. No kidding!
In addition, the complex is only minutes from St. Augustine, plenty of golf courses, grocery and drug stores, and even a bicycle rental shop that will deliver beach bikes to your front door!
Also, we've prepared a local guest book that is full of "insider" information about the area: What's worth seeing, the best golf courses, the really great restaurants, which tour train to use, that kind of thing. You won't spend years learning your way around the area. It will all be in a book for you! And, during your visit we hope you'll add your experiences, too.
There is a wonderful on-site property manager. Our grounds keeper has brought out a polish and shine to this complex that is the best of the beach.

The nation's oldest city! The Center City is full of history, fine art, beautiful crafts, interesting shops, as well as museums, live theaters and wonderful restaurants.

DIRECTIONS: From I-95, take Rt.206 exit, and turn east (toward the ocean). Proceed 6 miles to the 'T' intersection of Rt.206 and A1A. Turn right. We're 2 miles south on the left ... "can't miss it!"
--OUR STORY --During our 35 years of marriage, we've always spent our vacations on a large body of water. Being from Illinois, we tried Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock Lake, and then fell in love with the Atlantic ocean. But, we explored the Gulf of Mexico, and even ventured out to the Pacific Ocean a time or two. But, we always returned to the Atlantic -- perhaps it's because we're both of Irish descent and are being called to the sea.
While we began with hotels & motels, we quickly moved to private rentals for our vacations. In those pre-VRBO days we got ourselves into some real surprises! Some were disasters, other only marginally better. With VRBO, our information greatly improved. We'd find a unit, and return to it every year. However, as each location was "discovered" by the developers, we'd move to another Atlantic ocean location. We've rented condos in North Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, and St. Simon's Island. Then we discovered St. Augustine and ultimately Crescent Beach.
Crescent Beach residents are proud of their community and have worked to keep the natural beauty of the area. Building codes forbid high rise condos or over development of the community. It is what we were searching for, a quiet, beautiful beach in a friendly community. Now, with our complex renovations complete and our unit finished, it's our turn to offer our home to you. We've tried to describe the location, complex, and unit as accurately as possible.

We had a wonderful time at Aquadream in Crescent Beach, FL during the Summer of 2010 (sorry for the late review!). The condo was extremely clean, well-decorated, up to date appliances, spacious and was RIGHT ON THE WATER! We had amazing weather the whole week - the patio is really a lot of fun as well. This was my first trip St Augustine area in recent memory (my fiance has been there for vacation her whole life) and I think I will be coming back to this area every Summer for life. If you are looking a peaceful, relaxing vacation with no crazies on the beach this is the place. Teri, the owner, goes completely out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay. We'll be back!

Our family spent a week at the Crescent Sandpiper Aquadream and it was WONDERFUL!!! It was clear that the owners not only take pride in their home, they want you to feel at home as well. Aquadream included everything you could ever need. We certainly overpacked because we didn't anticipate having everything already supplied for us. The linens and kitchen selections were tasteful and very classy. The view was AMAZING and we were just steps from the pool and beach. We would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with all the features of a welcoming home.
