Welcome to Les and Teri's 'AquaDream'!
Crescent Beach is primarily residential, with private homes and low-rise condos mixed throughout this unique oceanfront community. Because of the area's low population, the beach is always clean, never crowded, peaceful and and only minutes from St. Augustine! !
The Crescent Sandpiper Condo complex sits at the keystone of Crescent Beach. It's built on a high dune and affords perfect ocean views - even from our first floor unit! Access to the pool and beach is right out your sliding door! Literally steps to the pool. Or, simply open the beach gate and you're on the sand. There are no long walk-overs here. (see pictures)
Our completely rebuilt unit, 'AquaDream', shines. Enjoy the views of the ocean, sounds of the surf, and soft sea breezes.
NOTE: This unit is not the right choice for small children, college students, Spring Breakers, Family Reunion Members, or Party People! Guests will need to provide copies of their driver's license and auto registration before reservations are confirmed.
We spend our winters here (Nov - Apr) and are making our beach home available approximately 10 weeks per year during our absence. We are fairly particular to whom we rent our home. The reason for this is simple: We want to maintain the quality and comfort of our beach front home for ourselves and our select guests.
We're looking for couples who can appreciate, enjoy, and know how to care for a beautiful residence. We have not stripped this unit. You will enjoy its full amenities just as we do:
Comfortable furnishings, original art, decorator accents, Crate & Barrel china, Bosch dishwasher, fine linens, pool lounge chair covers, 6' jetted tub, in unit washer/dryer, just to name a few.

We were amazed by how clean the condo was when we walked in the first day, absolutely spotless! The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms functional and the kitchen was nice. I loved the fact that you could see the ocean from the entry door, across the condo through the sliding glass doors; so from the minute you step into the condo you see the ocean! So Cool! And once you open the sliding doors and have just the screens open, you can hear the ocean, too. My in-laws, who are 81 and 85 had no trouble getting to the ocean from our room since there are no stairs to contend with to the ocean. (There were about three stairs leading up to the entry of the condo when you first arrive, and that's all.) We really enjoyed our stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Aqua Dream couldn't have been nicer in any way. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were home. The website photos didn't even do it justice - it was absolutely perfect. It was everything that was proclaimed it to be and more (which is not always the case with other web site units). The condo was immaculate, bright and relaxing. All of the furniture was extremely comfortable and well suited to the unit -- it was almost as though we had chosen it ourselves. The views were screne, peaceful, and tranquil. The pool was great plus the white sand beach was awesome. We wanted for nothing during our stay. It was extremely difficult to leave this lovely vacation spot. We certainly hope that we will be able to return for an even longer stay. Thank you Teri & Les.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The house was amazing right on the water and the family loved it. Right down the road we fed and pet the dolphins which my daughter still can't stop talking about and my wife she didn't want to ever leave. I want to say thank you to the family once again for being the incredible Patriots that they are.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a great condo and in a great location. Quiet beach. Very well kept grounds. Pool was in great condition and hardly ever crowded. Beach was wonderful and only a very short walk through the dunes to get to the beach. There are not umbrella and chair rentals here, but we purchased a 10x10 overhead tent from Walmart and it ended up being perfect for the beach, even better than umbrellas. The condo was very nice and well appointed. It is very convenient to have the washer/dryer in the unit to wash bath towels, etc. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: DIRECTIONS: From I-95, take Rt.206 exit, and turn east (toward the ocean). Proceed 6 miles to the 'T' intersection of Rt.206 and A1A. Turn right. We're 2 miles south on the left ... 'can't miss it!' --OUR STORY --During our 37 years of marriage, we've always spent our vacations on a large body of water. Being from Illinois, we tried Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock Lake, and then fell in love with the Atlantic ocean. But, we explored the Gulf of Mexico, and even ventured out to the Pacific Ocean a time or two. But, we always returned to the Atlantic -- perhaps it's because we're both of Irish descent and are being called to the sea. While we began in North Myrtle Beach, SC. However, once the area was 'discovered' by the developers, we'd move to another Atlantic ocean location. We've rented condos in North Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, and St. Simon's Island. In Florida, we began on the west side with Sanibel, Ft. Myers, and Naples. We tried Miami, Palm Beach (ugh!) Then we discovered St. Augustine and ultimately Crescent Beach. Crescent Beach residents are proud of their community and have worked to keep the natural beauty of the area. Building codes forbid high rise condos or over development of the community. It is what we were searching for, a quiet, beautiful beach in a friendly community. Now, with our complex renovations complete and our unit finished, it's our turn to offer our home to you. We've tried to describe the location, complex, and unit as accurately as possible.
Why the Owner Chose Crescent Beach:
AquaDream is the realization of years of searching for just the right winter home. From North Myrtle Beach, St. Simon's Island, to Daytona Beach and Cape Canaveral, we looked for an 'old fashioned' community but with all the modern amenities.
Crescent Sandpiper, originally built in the '60s, fits the bill. It sits on a high dune. From our living room sofa, we can see the surf, watch for dolphins, and enjoy the beautiful morning sunrises. This complex could not be duplicated today. As a result, we have no long dune walk-overs!
When we first saw the complex and our unit, both were in a very sorry state. The complex was run down. The tennis courts were hardly usable and from the landscaping to the pool furniture, all was neglected and in disrepair. Our unit was no better. Doors missing from the kitchen cabinets, holes in the drywall, electrical system not working, bathrooms ... well, you get the picture. But, the location, complex elevation, and bones of the unit -- perfect.
It took about a year and a half and $3.5 million for the complex renovation; our unit took almost as long as we gutted it down to the concrete block and rebuilt it.
Now, AquaDream is our winter home and we love it. Furnishing and artwork have been chosen with care. Our local contractor and our decorator have added those little touches that make for a comfortable home. We're particular about housekeeping, too, and our personal housekeeper will be maintaining the unit before and after each guest. And, yes, she receives the entire departure fee :)
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The key element that 'sealed the deal' for us, in addition the all of the above, was access. You'll park literally steps from your front door (think groceries!) From your patio overlooking the ocean, it's 7 steps to the pool gate, and once through the pool area, it's 3 steps onto sand. No kidding!
In addition, the complex is only minutes from St. Augustine, plenty of golf courses, grocery and drug stores, and even a bicycle rental shop that will deliver beach bikes to your front door!
Also, we've prepared a local guest book that is full of 'insider' information about the area: What's worth seeing, the best golf courses, the really great restaurants, which tour train to use, that kind of thing. You won't spend years learning your way around the area. It will all be in a book for you! And, during your visit we hope you'll add your experiences, too.
There is a wonderful on-site property manager. Our grounds keeper has brought out a polish and shine to this complex that is the best of the beach.
