Our vacation rental is a 2 bedroom 1 bath quaint cottage located on Big Stony Lake in Park Rapids Minnesota.
This property sets on 8 acres. Its like staying at your own private park. If you enjoy camp fires we have 3 large fire pits with fire wood provided. If you like swimming or just lounging at the beach there is a great sand beach. And while staying at the lake, boating and fishing are a Minnesota must. Maybe you would like to take a nice nature walk there is 5 acres of usable woods. In Park Rapids you will find plenty of Minnesota "nice" everywhere you go. Here in the heart of vacation land you will find many summer events to attend. Great restaurants, shopping at unique stores. There is so much to see and do you will wish your vacation could last forever!
If you are looking for a memorable stay the cottage is all set up and ready for your stay. Just bring a carefree attitude and enjoy the feeling of tranquil serenity under the awesome towering white pines of Lakewoods Cottage.

Apr 24, 2010-May 27, 2010.. $185/night .. $1300/week May 28, 2010-Sep 06, 2010.. $228/night .. $1600/week Sep 7, 2010-Nov 28, 2010 .. $185/night .. $1300/week Prices are all inclusive. You may add to your stay a 20 ft pontoon, a 16 ft fishing boat (1 tank of gas for each boat) a cedar strip canoe, depth finder & life jackets: Spring and Fall $1500/week .. Summer $1850/week. We require a $500 deposit; 7 days to cancel.

Why the Owner Chose Park RapidsWe have owned our cottage for 18 years. It was a diamond in the ruff. It was our labor of love that transformed it into a beautiful park like setting. If you love the outdoors you will find as much enjoyment here as we have. Last year we decided it would be nice to share our quaint cottage with others,so evolved Lakewoods Cottage.
The Unique Benefits at this CottageYou will experience a relaxing vacation in the north central woods of Minnesota. Park Rapids is home to the Headwaters of the Mississippi River. Our cottage sets on 3 acres of beautiful yard,we have many flower gardens. There are awesome towing white pines you will feel solitude and serenity from. If you enjoy camp fires we have 3 large fire pits with fire wood included. If you enjoy swimming we have a nice sand beach with water toys. And boating/fishing are a must while staying at the lake. If its woods you like our property has 5 acres of usable woods to explore. The cottage is all set up and ready to go just bring a carefree attitude and relax in your own personal park like setting.

Greetings from Jerry and Lorrie, We are the owners of Lakewoods cottage. We have lived in Park Rapids for over 20 years. Lorrie and I feel very lucky to live in a vacation destination. This rural community has been a great place to raise our family. The beautiful lakes,rivers,forest and prairies, Makes Park Rapids a great area to visit.

Jerry & Lori Your place exceeded our expectations. We reached a level of relaxation and contentment we seldom experience. There are lots of things we enjoyed, but especially just sitting on the deck and string out across the manicured lawn and gazing at the lake. Thank You so much!

Jerry & Lorrie Thank-you. I know our family of 6 was a stretch for you cabin but it was perfect, this vacation has been ranked one of the best for our family. We achieved our goal-GREAT family time with our family & out of state kids is a GREAT environment. Your cottage, boat, lake, loons. croquet and great suggestion to float down the river,oh, and I almost forgot the 4th of July parade, along with your wonderful hospitality & fabulous weather, made for a fabulous week! thank- You again

Your Lakewoods Cottage is a wonderful get away. Highlight included- the loon family, the privacy, the peaceful atmosphere,and the access to a pontoon and canoe. Your tip on the Hilltop cafe in Hubbard-the prime rib was the best we have had in a long time. Thanks again. And we hope to see you next year.
