My husband and I loved the room we stayed in. It was modern and clean and perfect for a quiet vacation. There are about 20 steps to get down to the room but they are well lighted and steady. There was a refrigerator, toaster, microwave, and coffee maker which I used for tea. The patio was where we spent most of our time because the view is so beautiful. We brought bug spray to use on the patio and only used it once. The location is great. It takes 8 to 10 minutes to stroll to the Marriott and about 12 minutes to return because you are going up hill. We stayed 8 days and I walked to the Marriott at least once a day. You can use the gym there for $50.00 week. We had a car which is really nice. The owners are wonderful kind people. They want you to have everything you need. We felt very safe there. We hope to return!

Beautiful condo, very well equipped, no need for snorkle stuff, just take it for 4 folks. Rent a car if you can, I got it thru priceline... but right next door you can arrange trips.Owners are very responsive and provide an abbundance of info w/o even asking for it. You will love it here... good the retired as well and young... see trip advisor, I ended up renting here because of super great feedback for Leah Browning... We are retired and enjoyed our stay with son & daughter. Don't miss out on going to Virgin Gorda (see huge boulders, but expensive tour, but soooo worth it) and to St Johns taking the ferry.

July 2-5 2010 Dear Leah and Scott Thank you for letting my sisters and I visit your villa for a long weekend getaway. What a fabulous place you have here! Very beautiful inside and out. The views----Oh my goodness – what a view! We will definitely return to St. Thomas and would love to stay here every time. Our favorite food was the BBQ guy in downtown Charlotte Amalie – It was so good and the Mac-n-cheese was to die for and the ribs just fell off the bone. We also liked the bang-bang shrimp at The Greenhouse- very good! We enjoyed visiting St. John also – very quaint! We recommend Budget for renting your car. They treated us wonderfully, and we got around to everything in our 3 days here. Thank you again – we plan to be back (longer next time)! Such memories Tonya & Sisters

June 27-July 2 2010 Morningstar Villa has the most spectacular views on island! Our family has had the most awesome time staying here. Many thanks to Leah and Scott who have been gracious to allow our family the opportunity to stay in their beloved home and they provide so much detailed information about the villa and things to do in the islands (in email and in the house). If anyone should have questions, read the “white” guest books provided in the house – they provide so much information! While in St. Thomas, you must see Megans Bay. It is the most exquisite beach in the world. They have a restaurant and souvenir store. There is a fee to park and enter Megans, but well worth it! Grocery shopping can be done at many different grocers on island or at K-mart (just a few minutes from the villa). We had the best time here and would come back 1,000 times to the same place. Thanks so much to Leah and Scott!! We were truly blessed to be able to stay in Morningstar and had the absolute best vacation in 2010. We hope to be back next year! Thank you! Holly, Maco, Shyanne, Mercedes, Bryce, and Maddison Follow-up note via email: Dear Scott and Leah, I wanted to thank you both for giving my family the opportunity to stay in your vacation home. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time with the best views on the island. Nothing compares to that view. We wish we were still there. We hope to come back again and enjoy the island and the villa. Thank you so much for all of your help and support during our 2010, family vacation. Best, Holly and family

June 21 week 2010 WOW!!!! The pictures on the internet do not do justice to this house and location. The view is absolutely incredible, and the accommodations are like being home (even better than home on many things!). This is the first time we rented a house/villa, and we will always go this way from now on. We did lots of activities and sights (beaches, coral world, day trip to St. John, dining out …); using helpful your suggestions. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely house, we will definitely be back! Rob, Sara, Ryan , Even and Malzie

Enjoyed our stay. Home is a very convenient drive to Charlotte Amelia, shopping, restaurants and beaches. Owner was highly resonsive and helpful. Home is perched high above morningstar beach with awesome ocean views, including cruise ship arrivals and departures which were fun to watch. Home has a seperate studio apartment below - tenant was very quiet. Second bedroom is down interior spiral stairs. There is a bathroom off of both bedrooms. Home is decorated beatuifully. Great room and both bedrooms have room a/c - master bath does not - but that was fine. Being from Florida, a/c is important to us!! Master bed was very comfortable. Large porch to enjoy the view was awesome. The washer and dryer are full size and worked well. Home had lots of beach towels which was a nice perk. Enjoyed all the great island info in the unit and especially the recomendation for "Utter Delight" milkshakes - went twice!

May 1-8 2010 What a fabulous week! Spent many wonderfully relaxing hours just appreciating the view and thoroughly enjoying our stay. We came to celebrate a birthday milestone and were here for our friend’s surprise engagement on island – what a wonderful place for these special moments! We recommend Mafolie restaurant for good food and views, and Magens Bay for a beautiful beach. We also recommend renting a car and taking a day trip ferry to Tortola/Jost Van Dyke (BVIs). Thanks so much for sharing this lovely home. We hope to be back for more birthdays and anniversaries! Rich, Carol, Barry and Maria

March 3 week 2010 Leah and Scott, We were fortunate to stay in your villa once again. It was just like coming home. It was all quite familiar, so comfortable and as great as the 1st visit. Although we were on the island for a sad occasion for the passing of my grandmother, the comfort of “home” always helps, and staying at your villa was like being home. The views are magnificent from sunrise to sunset. We spent a lot of time at pre-determined places at set times, but just sitting out on the balcony, observing so many forms of nature was so soothing and therapeutic. Thanks again for squeezing us in. See you again soon, Carolyn, Wayne and sons

Feb 20-25, 2010: We had a great time here in the Virgin Islands! We felt extremely comfortable in the villa. Spent a lot of time on the balcony, taking in the views! Also, a lot of our time was spent in the water. We are snorkel-fanatics and tried to get as much snorkeling in as possible. During our ‘too-short’ trip, we visited Morningstar beach, Secret Harbor, Sapphire beach, Smiths Bay (Lindquist), Magens Bay, and over to St. John for Trunk Bay and Leinster Bay (Waterlemon Cay). All beautiful in their own way. We saw 2 sea turtles at Leinster/Waterlemon Cay, and massive parrot fish at Trunk. Saw moray eel at Morningstar and squid at Sapphire. All beautiful sights! We stayed in for dinner often (taking advantage of the villa’s nice kitchen), but worth mentioning, is Coco Joes at Morningstar (just below the villa). Great lunch sandwiches. Weather was FANTASTIC! Ocean breezes at night were soothing. You could hear the waves of Morningstar with the windows open. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Hope to be back soon! Take good care, Gerri, Rian and John

Nov 27-Dec 5, 2009 - It’s time to leave already ----- WOW! We are not ready to go for so many reasons: We were here to visit relatives for a memorable event and it was! We felt at home staying in your villa. Our transition went well, thanks to all the attention you put into making us feel so comfortable here...so many little details all around. Your home is so beautiful and waking up, seeing the views ---- we loved it! Leah and Scott, thanks a lot. We also really enjoyed meeting you. Here on St. Thomas, we went to Bolongo Bay, ate at Iggies and Mims. We swam at Morningstar beach (just below the villa), also lounged at Magens Bay (beautiful!), and adventured to Coki Beach to scuba at Coral World (quite an adventure for this mom). We visited St. Croix (via Seaplane) and St. John (via car ferry). We did so much in such a short visit. Everything was GREAT, and we thank you very much for sharing your house with us. We’ll be back soon! Carolyn, Wayne and sons

July 16-Sept 30 2009 Dear Leah and Scott Thank you so very much for allowing us to lease your beautiful home during the most important time of our lives. We married on Magens Bay on July 31st, most beautiful beach (Bolongo Beach our second choice – gorgeous views!). During the 3 months of our stay, we enjoyed all the restaurants (Oceana for our wedding meal. Mim’s Seaside Bistro for our 1st month anniversary). Also loved Virgillos and Glady’s Café, Caribbean Saloon, Blue Moon, Havana Blue to name a few. We visited all of St. Thomas’ beaches (more than 16) and also visited beautiful St. John for a day of touring. We have decided that St. Thomas will become our permanent home next year. We love it here and see so many possibilities for life in paradise. Thank you again for everything – It was such a highlight to get to meet you. We will recommend Morningstar villa to all our friends and family – expect us to be back! Joe and Ramona

June 6-12 2010 - Your house is beautiful! The balcony was our favorite spot! The villa has everything you need to make you feel right at home and it’s very comfortable! Close to grocery stores and restaurants. We ate at Iggie’s at Bolongo beach for dinner. Really enjoyed eating on the shore. Nice and breezy and good food! Also had a really delicious dinner at Caribbean Saloon in Red Hook – Excellent service! The Brownings are right-on with their recommendations. We ventured off the recommendation list to Fungi’s Restaurant at Point Pleasant – cannot suggest it – the wait staff was very rude and service took an hour. Water is calm and beautiful at Magens Bay. Definitely our favorite of all the places we went. We also went to Sapphire beach. It was somewhat crowded, but still able to enjoy snorkeling and feeding the ducks on the beach – they eat right from your hand. We went to Coral World at Coki Beach – had a great time! We did the SNUBA experience: 30 minutes of underwater swimming with fish just off the shore over the coral reef. Be sure to take an underwater camera – lots of colorful fish! We took the car ferry to St. John for the day. Enjoyed the views from the top level. Drove around and stopped at the different beaches to enjoy all the views. Trunk Bay, Caneel Bay, Cinnamon Bay. We hate having to pack and leave, and really hope to be back again, ~Larry, Yvonne, Jennifer and Melanie

Hi there Leah and Scott! We are home and we had the best time on our vacation, thanks to your fantastic and beautiful home. We actually were a bunch of home bodies besides going to the beach. :) We cooked a a lot and had wonderful evenings watching the sun set from the balcony. One really fun thing we did was chartering a boat from "do it in style " charters. We had a blast snorkeling around St. John, then checking out Sandy Cay Beach , and having a drink at Soggy Dollar Bar. Our captain was so great. We also had a great meal at Old Stone Farm House. YUM. I just wanted to send a huge Thank You for everything! Your home is so beautiful and was the perfect little getaway for us. We are honored to have been your first guests. Sending all my best, Georgina
