Our family had a wonderful week! The location couldn't have been better. We loved being so close to both the ocean and the bay. We enjoyed early morning walks and evening sunsets at the bayfront park and hours of relaxing fun at the ocean. Paula and Richard's home was very comfortable and we greatly enjoyed the welcome basket and gift certificates.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

We just finished a week at Paula and Richard's house and I echo many of the comments made by earlier reviewers. The house is in a great location: a block away from beach and bay and a very nice Sunset Park. It is very quiet in this part of LBI which is nice but the house is still close enough to the action in the middle of the island. Most importantly, Paula and Richard were very good owners. They greeted us warmly on our arrival day and walked us through the house and described all the available activities. They even included a very nice gift basket with gift certificates at local merchants. Richard even brought a tug toy that my dog Annie loved.

We had a great time staying here. The location was good for fishing, beach, park. The yard was fenced, my dogs enjoyed playing in it. I took them to a nearby dog park every day. Wednesday there was a good concert at Sunset Park, just 12 houses away. Sunset Park has a nice crabbing pier, playgound, tennis courts. The dogs and I went there daily.They received a lot of attention from fellow vacationers and loved every minute of it. The beach was wide, clean and uncrowded. The house was clean and comfortable, everyone felt right at home. We were met by Paula and Richard, who were very gracious and helpful. They provided us with information, a welcome basket and gift certificates to local businesses. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, and they succeeded. We plan on returning next year for another wonderful vacation.

We've stayed at this house 4 years in a row and have had a blast every time. It's a block from the beautiful beach and a short drive from good restaurants and markets. Besides Harvey Cedars being a great location for a low-key relaxing vacation, this house in particular is charming, clean, and comfortable. We'll surely be back in the years to come!

Upon arrival on Saturday afternoon, my 3 1/2-year old granddaughter threw herself down on "her bed," and said "I LOVE this place!" And that was how our family's wonderful vacation week on LBI went. The house is so comfortable (we were 4 adults, 2 children and dogs), the location so convenient, and the owners couldn't be more welcoming.

Dear Paula and Richard: We had a great time at your lovely home in Harvey Cedars, the weather was great and the ocean was magnificant. Your home was comfortable and cozy, the gift basket was wonderful, we enjoyed everthing in it, Chlor (the dog) thanks you for thinking of her. She enjoyed the treats. Your thoughtfulness in providing the shampoo, shower gel and lotions was great. The whole family says HI and we hope to see you again next year. The one suggestion is a line to hang up our bathing suits when we get off the beach. We didnt want to put them in the dryer sandy and wet. We had an incredible 2 weeks at this house in August of 2004. We were so comfortable and the owners were wonderful! They thought of everything. The beach and the bay are a short walk away, as is Sunset Park which is on the bay!!!We are looking forward to staying in August of 2005. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. We have been vacationing at the Jersey Shore for many years and this year (2004) was without a doubt the best ever. The house was very comfortable, the location was wonderful and the owners were incredibly gracious and caring. We are seriously thinking about a repeat next year. If you are thinking about this rental you will not be disapointed.
