The Pt. Loma House is located just above the San Diego Yacht Club, it is a quick walk to the bay, coffee houses and restaurants.
All NEW mattresses, beds and bedding.
Most furniture is NEW.
5-20 minutes to drive to: the Gaslamp District (downtown SD), Sea World, the Globe Theater, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, La Jolla and some of San Diego's best surfing spots.
With double-pane windows and a quiet street, the house is quiet all the time.
Point Loma Nazarene University is just a 2 minute drive up the hill, and the house, alone, feels like a swanky get-away with it's stunning views and contemporary architecture & furnishings.
The airport is just an $8.00 cab ride away, but we do not hear ANY noise from planes.
BBQ, bikes, surfboards, razor scooters, wii/GuitarHero, a new baby-grand piano and a pair of men's roller-skates await your arrival...
Teré, our family friend and HOUSEKEEPER is available 1 day a week. She cleans entire house, changes all bedding, washes clothes, prepares hot tea and sews a bit.
BABYSITTING - if Teré is here, she can babysit for a little extra $$.

Year Purchased: 1991
I met Rodney at Point Loma Nazarene College (now: PLNU) in the late '80s. Now he teaches an investments course at the college 1 semester a year and is a financial advisor with Ameriprise. I am a teacher for children on movie sets. We travel a lot with our daughter to other "beachy" destinations. We love the North Shore of Oahu (so we are willing to TRADE a week or two almost anytime of year for any place between Wiamea and Turtle Bay). We also spend a lot of time in Mexico at our beach-house which is in Popotla (just south of Rosarito Beach, 1 mile north of the Fox Stages at Baja).

Close to surfing beaches, bay, live theater (The Globe and La Jolla Playhouse) downtown San Diego and Mexico! (re: Mexico: Yes, we just go for it!)
The Unique Benefits of this House
The Pt. Loma House is within 7 miles of the SD Zoo, Sea World, the Airport, San Diego's BEST surfing beaches, the Yacht Clubs and the bay. Legoland is 33 miles away (thank goodness) and, in general, we are centrally located to all San Diego has to offer, but away from the noise, traffic and crowds.
