Bay Views & City Lights, Walk to Village and S.D. Yacht Club
- Minimum stay:7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
The Pt. Loma House is located just above the San Diego Yacht Club, it is a quick walk to the beaches on the bay, coffee houses and restaurants.
New mattresses, beds and bedding.
Most furniture is NEW.
5-20 minutes to drive to: the Gaslamp District (downtown SD), Sea World, the Globe Theater, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, La Jolla and some of San Diego's best surfing spots.
With double-pane windows and a quiet street, the house is quiet all the time.
Point Loma Nazarene University is just a 2 minute drive up the hill, and the house, alone, feels like a swanky get-away with it's stunning views and contemporary architecture & furnishings.
The airport is just an $8.00 cab ride away, but we do not hear ANY noise from planes.
BBQ, bikes, surfboards, razor scooters, wii/GuitarHero, a new baby-grand piano and a pair of men's roller-skates await your arrival...
Teré, our family friend and HOUSEKEEPER is available 1 day a week. She cleans entire house, changes all bedding, washes clothes, prepares hot tea and sews a bit.

We spent 11 weeks at this property the summer of 2012 and were highly satisfied. It's most outstanding features are the amazing views, clean and contemporary decor, upgraded and well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, balcony and private yard, and proximity to restaurants and local attractions. We loved the amazing views of the bay and San Diego skyline, as well as the Yacht Club, Shelter Island, Coronado and the Coronado Bridge from the vaulted main living room and balcony. The home is very liveable. There are two common areas with flat-screen TVs. The beds are comfortable and there is ample closet and storage space. The kitchen is well-stocked and has up-to-date appliances. The bathrooms are nicely upgraded. There is a lovely fenced backyard with barbeque and the balcony can seat up to 8. There is ample parking. The home is situated in a quiet neighborhood but is 5 minutes from the airport and has easy access to Balboa Park, The Old Globe Theatre, Shelter Island, Sunset Cliffs and SeaWorld. It's in walking distance to several reasonably priced restaurants, coffee shops and fitness facilities. Joggers and strollers will love the walking paths along the bay & Shelter Island. Teri the housekeeper was very nice and did a great job. Missy was highly accommodating and pleasant and the home reflects her attention to detail. We highly recommend this property!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Everything was exactly as represented in the profile for this house. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The view is spectacular, and property is centrally located. You can get to the airport, downtown, the Zoo, harbor and ocean without getting on a hwy. I would hightly recommend this property, and the owners (excellent communication & customer service). If this property is available, I will not even shop for a place next time we visit San Diego.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband, daughter and myself had such a lovely stay here during July. The views are better than the photographs... The house is well furnished and decor is relaxed, yet elegant with a fantastic, well-equipped kitchen. It is immaculate and stocked with anything you could possibly need. The location is perfect as it is close to the beach but we could get anywhere in San Diego within 15-20 minutes, even during a large event. What a pleasure to deal with Missy, the owner. She was so hospitable and thoughtful. Highly recommend and would love to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Point Loma:
Close to surfing beaches, bay, live theater (The Globe and La Jolla Playhouse) downtown San Diego and Mexico! (re: Mexico: Yes, we just go for it!)
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The Pt. Loma House is within 7 miles of the SD Zoo, Sea World, the Airport, San Diego's BEST surfing beaches, the Yacht Clubs and the bay. Legoland is 33 miles away (thank goodness) and, in general, we are centrally located to all San Diego has to offer, but away from the noise, traffic and crowds.
