Casa de Suenos is a charming Carmel-by-the-Sea cottage located in the heart of the preferred 'Golden Rectangle' area south of Ocean Avenue, the main downtown area. Our home is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants downtown (six blocks) and the world-renowned Carmel beach and ocean (five blocks).

Extra Spacious Home for a Carmel Cottage: Casa de Suenos is a real find in that it is particularly spacious for the typical Carmel cottage in the village. Our home has four comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms, and the home has the ability to sleep up to ten guests with the use of two aerobeds that are provided with the home.
Conveniently Located in Prime Area: Casa de Suenos is located south of Ocean Avenue in the much preferred 'Golden Rectangle' area of Carmel village on Monte Verde between 12th and 13th. It is located in a quiet block that has terrific neighbors who live in very nice and well-maintained homes. Our home is 6 blocks from Ocean Avenue or the downtown area where the shops, restaurants, and art galleries are located, and five blocks up from the beach. Both Ocean Avenue and the beach are easily walkable within 10-15 minutes. There is also ample parking in front of our house on both sides of the street in our block. The home is also located less than five minutes by car from the Carmel Mission, and only five minutes from the popular Crossroads and Barnyards shopping center complexes with many stores and restaurants to choose from.
Golf: The Carmel/Monterey/Pebble Beach areas are replete with numerous world-class public golf courses available for your usage, all within a 15 minute drive from our home. In addition, several highly regarded private clubs are also located in the vicinity--Cypress Golf Club, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, The Preserve, Tehama Golf Club.

Master bedroom has own Master Bathroom and spacious walk-in closet. Bedroom and closet have skylights, and bedroom opens out onto back patio. Master bedroom also has a wood-burning fireplace. Home office is also located in the master bedroom with a desk, desk chair, broadband Internet connection, HP All-in-One Printer, fax, scanner, and copier. Finally, a TV with VCR and DVD player is available in the master bedroom.
Hall Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located off the main hallway on the main living level of the house between the master bedroom and kitchen and living room. These two bedrooms share a bathroom off the hallway. Both bedrooms have spacious walk-in closets. Family room/bedroom located on lower level of house, and has its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. It has an armoire for a closet, and is equipped with a large TV, VCR, and DVD player. Doubles as family room. Extra sleeping accommodations available on two aerobeds provided in house.

We rented this charming home for the week before Christmas and could not have been happier. It is not a very big house, but it somehow managed to create privacy for my parents and brother with young children along with our family of four. We never felt on top of each other. It is just nicely done, with good pots and pans and more condiments and spices than I have in my own home! We planned to take advantage of the great dining in Carmel, but in the end were more than happy to hang out in our cozy hobbit house and play cards. Pictures don't do it justice as to how cute this place really is! A total gem!

Casa De Suenos is an absolutely wonderful home away from home and feels like it's been taken directly from a story book. The home is beautiful, wonderfully equipped, has a real wood burning fireplace, kitchen stocked with everything you could need and each room is relaxingly comfortable. It's a few easy blocks walk to the beach and town, garage has all the beach toys teenagers could ask for and the owners have all the supplies at your fingertips. We will be back - enjoy.

Had a "Girl's Weekend" Nov. 5-8 2009- We had girl's 30-80 year's old. All found the house perfect. Next year we want to cook in the great kitchen! The house was really great! Great location- great space- beautiful interior and very comfortable. Thank you so much for the great stay- really made for a great memory.

We just returned from a perfect nine days at this house and we are already looking forward to a longer stay next summer! This is the sixth year that my mother has rented the house. My husband and I have rented it with our children, six and nine, in the past as well. The house works well for all ages. The house is charming, comfortable and beautifully appointed. The well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. The house is immaculate and the property clearly well-maintained. Flowers cheerfully grace the front and rear yards. The location is ideal - quiet and well situated. It is a short walk to the village and to the beach yet away from the crowds. The owner is a delight to work with and the rental process is a breeze. I highly recommend it!

We needed a place to stay for a variety of ages and Casa de Suenos was perfect for us. We slept 8 comfortably and were able to make many meals in the well-stocked kitchen, but were less than a mile from fantastic restaurants and the beach. I have told all my friends and we will be back. This is the quintessential Carmel Cottage!

We had a hard time deciding on a house to rent to celebrate one of our family's 75th birthday. When we walked into Casa de Suenos we all knew that we couldn't have picked anything better. The house has all the amenities you could possibly need and there is a very welcome understated elegance in the entire house. The instructions that were provided were almost too detailed and as a result of reading them before our arrival we felt right at home the moment we arrived. The location of the house is perfect as it makes for a nice walk to downtown Carmel and only a few blocks to the beach. We hope to be back and would not consider any other rental in the Carmel area.
