We had a great weeks stay in this villa, and would absolutely recommend it. Location was perfect, mamora beach was stunning. We loved the independence of a self catering villa holiday. St James's food is average and very over priced if you are not all inclusive, if you want to eat out there are plenty of options close by. We would definitely recommend a car! Just one comment to the owners, some cleaning utensils (sponges/tea towels/kitchen paper/brush etc) would be useful. Overall great place, and would definitely recommend it!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our family of 3 recently stayed at this villa and it was ideal in all aspects. The villa itself was well-located within the resort with good access to both beaches as well as other resort facilities. The villa is very spacious and well designed, with an over-sized patio offering a partial view of the beach (through palm trees). All spaces work - an efficient, well-equipped kitchen overlooking the living room with a separate dining area. The bedrooms are quite large, each with very nice bathrooms - great space overall for our family and we highly recommend this accommodation. We also enjoyed the ability to opt in/out of the resort's meal plan, preparing most of our meals with a few exceptions. We recommend a car rental. We toured the area quite a bit and came to the conclusion that this is one of the best locations on the island.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Wonderful location across the paved road from Coco Beach and a short walk to Mamora Bay. You can't beat the value for the location, especially in the off season. The villa is a stand alone unit so it is especially quiet and great for a small family. My children, ages 18 and 16 loved the unit and the resort amenities. We found the unit very clean and functional. The resort has most activities and non motorized watersports for an active family. We learned to windsurf and also utilized the kayaks, hobiecats, snorkel gear, tennis, pools, and fitness center. We did eat both on and off property. Check out Trappas Bar in English Harbour, and the Hideout just up the road from St. James Club. The owner was helpful in suggesting restaurants and our rental car. Please get to know the resort employees, especially the guys at the activities area. Nigel, Wilson, Corn, and Super Dave made our days fun filled. Also, say hello to Alfred who drives the drink cart. He makes his rounds providing drinks to the people at both Coco Beach and Mamora Bay. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to smile and strike up a conversation. They are most willing to make your stay enjoyable. Can't wait to go back. And yes, we will rent this same villa!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We just returned and had a terrific stay at the St James Club. The villa was clean, comfortable, spacious and well-located, making it easy to walk to the two gorgeous beaches and the myriad of activities SJC has to offer. The grocery stores in town made it wasy to cook in some nights (the villa has all the cooking utensils you need) and the restaurants in town were terrific. We did not do the resort meal plan as we prefer to venture out instead but we certainly took advantage of the kids club, tennis courts, beaches, sailboats, on-site dive shop and spa. We can't wait to go back!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We had a perfect vacation due to the qualities of the resort as such and particularly due to the high quality of the villa. It is very well furnished inside and outside and is fully equipped if you enjoy your own cooking as we do. It is nicely appointed with art from the region and it is clean. On top of our list are high quality beds. Never had better. We enjoyed all our meals on the fantastic terrace on the second floor; especially our candlelight dinners. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Two excellent beaches to which we walked barefoot several times a day starting at 7 am before breakfast. Add to that our daily sailing, daily walks and a pile of books and life was perfect for a while. We will return. As for the owners we had pleasant and accurate communication from first contact.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This will be a third year staying at this wonderful villa with our three children now (2,5,6). Perfect place for a family with full access to the resort but ability the serve meals at home. The villa is in the perfect location, right near the beach and closest to the children's pool, very clean, and with everything you need. The second floor deck is the perfect spot to eat a meal or relax with a book and a cocktail. We love to drive into English Harbor for dinner, which has great food at reasonable prices. The food is wonderful at the resort as well, and the grocery store is very close. The resort provides cribs and high chairs, a kids club, and watersport activities for no extra fee. This is the best value you will find around. We look forward to this trip all year - it is the only place we truely relax with three kids!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Stayed at this wonderful property with my husband and 2 children in feb 2010. Rental was accurately depicted and great value. Very spacious. Clean. 2 bedrooms downstairs and full kitchen with stove and oven upstairs. Nice large balcony with glass table that we enjoyed eating our meals on. Loved the multiple pools at the resort. Big bonus was free paddle boat and hobie cats rental and great kids club. would have to pay hundreds of dollars for these amenities elsewhere. Owners very easy to deal with and answered all questions in advance.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
