Ninos Del Mar is a brand new building (completed in February 2008) designed and constructed by Meridian architects Victor Carrillo and Ingrid Peon. In addition, in May 2009, we invited Draya Ramirez, a hot new artist arising out of Telchac Puerto, to create her original murals throughout the building.
Tasteful design and colors; comfortable beds; and wireless internet are just some of the amenities that will make your stay with us restful, easy, and special.
In Telchac Puerto, you will experience the calm green emerald waters of the western Carribean; white beaches with hardly a person on them; unique wildlife (colorful native birds, hummingbirds, flamingos, iguanas geckos, and if you are lucky, a croc in the lagoon); amazing Mexican seafood restaurants; grocery stores; bakeries; liquor stores; town square with modern children’s playground; and wonderful Mayan people with their warm smiles, colorful crafts, and readiness to be helpful. The nearest banks are in Motul and Progreso, 20 minutes to the south and west, respectively. Telchac Puerto is where Mexicans go for vacation!
Many families from Merida and Mexico City have their vacation homes here, and Americans & Canadians are moving in quickly. We are told Telchac Puerto is what Play del Carmen was 25 years ago - a slow paced fishing village where people have time to savor life!
Nearby shopping and attractions are available in Progreso (25 minutes west); Motul (20 minutes south) and Merida (45 minutes south and west of Telchac). Adventure tourism, Archeology, culture and shopping; and just lazing on the beach are just a few of the things you can do while staying in Telchac Puerto.
Your apartment is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully laid out. Our intention when building and decorating was to be equally functional and esthetically pleasing. Beautiful paintings and murals throughout; cute knick knacks; a breakfast bar; fully equipped kitchen; daybed; pillowtop king sized mattress; top quality bed linens; a patio that walks directly out onto sand and the swimming pool; and your very own palapa from which you can test drive that brand new hammock you bought at the market! The little things add together to make a great vacation!
Another identical unit is available for rent, next door. There is also a 3 bedroom house on the second floor for rent. Perfect for multiple families wanting to vacation together!

We are a Canadian family trying to escape Canadian winters! You can see us here enjoying the ocean right in front of our house. Telchac is known for its shallow, calm, bathtub like waters during summer months. You can see us here enjoying such conditions. Other times of the year, the winds pick up and it's perfect for windsurfing.

Telchac Puerto is a beautiful traditional Mexican fishing village. The warm weather, endless days of sunshine, secluded beaches, warm Mayan people, and fascinating culture are all enticing. We loved it so much we moved here!
