  Our family of four stayed at this lovely apartment in June and had a wonderful time. The apartment is on a quiet block on the UES. Breda, the owner, was a joy to work with, answering all our questions quickly and thoroughly. When we "checked in", we met Breda who gave us a tour of the apartment which is stocked with many toiletry items in case you've forgotten something! She even had the fridge stocked with fresh milk and oj and the pantry filled with english muffins, jams, peanut butter, etc. Perfect to get us going in the morning. The building is on the older side but I was shocked that I did not hear a car or siren during our entire stay. Only other minor complaint was that the closest subway stop was about a 10-12 min. walk across town. At least we got our excercise! We look forward to staying here again when we visit NYC!

  I stayed here for one week, and it was my pleasure to stay is this spotless appartment. Everything you need is in the appartment, ( I felt a little nosey looking for the hair dryer). The area is clean, and the walk to the subway is pleasurable. The bars/restaraunts are plentyfull, Arturo's is worth a visit, As is Midnight Blue, the bar is spotless, and for once we found a toilet that was immaculate, (a thing that was on short order in NY, dirty toilets everywhere, particularly Katz Dinner, give that a miss). The hospitlity of the owner was well worth the cost of this appartment, she is lovely. My only one small gripe, is the main sitting area, it was dark, with no natural light, however, it was not a real problem, just turn the lights on!, Oh, and the towels were spotless ,fresh and plentyfull. I would recommend this appartment to anyone traveling to NY.

  Our stay in this apartment could not have been more perfect. The apartment is close to many shops and restaurants and close to the subway. We felt like it was a home away from home and great place to return to after our long days walking around NYC. The owner could not have been more lovely or more helpful. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone.

  We stayed here for 8 nights around Thanksgiving ( 3 adults ). The apt. was terrific , as is the owner . A bit of a hike to the closest subway stop but manageble . The apt. itself was very roomy , clean , well furnished and well maintained .Very freindly and helpful owner . Very easy to deal with .

  We had stayed in this apartment once before and we were so pleased that it was available for our quasi-yearly visit to NYC. We were greeted by the smiling owner despite our delayed arrival (airplane delayed) who went on to outline all the amenities of the apartment from the breakfast goodies to the Wi-Fi, and what not to miss in the neighbourhood. The location is fabulous to catch all the fantastic exhibits on museum row. The subway is close by which makes it easy to go anywhere in the city. There are many buses as well, although we did not try them. Close by there are several grocery stores, including a Dean and Deluca with delicacies and a superb soup, and a wine store just round the corner from the apartment. It makes it easy to eat in if one is too exhausted to go out after one of those long walking days in the City. Not to worry, the kitchen includes a dish washer. The apartment is spotless and comfortable. It is perfect for 4 people, but can accommodate 6 good friends. We hope to go back soon. Such a place plays an important part in making our stay in NYC most enjoyable.

  We had a wonderful stay in New York. This apartment is spacious and, most importantly, super clean. Breda is a delightful and caring host. We were terribly late on arrival, and she was so patient and welcoming. She also helped arrange an excellent hotel stay on our first night because the apartment wasn't available. All the small touches are taken care of by Breda, from an array of delicious, breakfast supplies to fresh flowers. The neighborhood is wonderful with many restaurants and markets within walking distance. There is a subway just a few blocks away, and it was very easy to find a taxi. I would definitely return to this apartment and do business with Breda again.

  We three sisters rented this apartment for our "girls" week in NYC.... it was close to everything. Having the breakfast items provided was so wonderful... we could make coffee in the mornings and have toast or muffins. There was great groceries stores nearby. The apartment was very clean and the towels and sheets were high quality.... There was nothing overlooked. We felt very safe even walking at night.... thank you for a fabulous week

  I stayed in this apartment together with my family (5 total) for 6 days. It is very conveniently located, close enough to the subway to walk. Everything is provided such as towels, soap, internet and even breakfast foods. For everything else there are 2 supermarkets close by on 86th street that provide anything you might need. Breda was very nice and even offered to let us stay an extra night for free when our bus got cancelled due to the approach of hurricane Irene. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to visit NYC.

  My family and I just enjoyed a fantastic time in the city. We are a family of five and the space was perfect. The neighborhood is great with everything you need around it. The bus and subway are very close. The breakfast items provided were a great touch.. our children loved it and made it very easy for the family. We would highly recommend this place for families or couples. We definitely plan to come back and stay here again!!! Great find!!! You will not regret staying here!

  We actually stayed at the apt. on E. 89th Street, which was as described above. Perfect for us as a family with three little children, everything exactly or better than described. As someone who lived in the neighborhood for many yrs, it was very gracious living, the apt. was clean, cool and neat. Check-in and check-out easy and accommodating (we ran about an hour late due to traffic on the way in; also there was no problem with leaving the luggage in the apt. until we had picked up the car and gotten it over there!!) Sorry we did not meet you, Bridget, but speaking on the phone was always lovely, and you were always most helpful and kind. A pleasure to deal with!!(As you know, NY'ers are very picky!) Love the area, easy to get around, even taxi fare not bad. Many Playgrounds are close by for the kids, Central park and Carl Schurz Park, a quick orientation with an additional hand-drawn map is provided, which we didn't need. Lots of ideas of things to do provided, also take-out/delivery menus. However, do venture out and try the restaurants. Perhaps browse a Zagats if you're looking for interesting dining. Via Quadronno on 73rd/Madison always a favorite, a classic the luncheonette diner on 82nd/Lexington, with a great malted milkshake and grilled cheese or pancakes!
