We just returned from a 3-night stay at Hank and Lori's Pacific Grove house. The house was very comfortable and is the perfect location for enjoying walks along the path that leads to Lover's Point. There are an abundance of great little restaurants in the neighborhood. Our two favorites are Holly's Lighthouse Cafe (breakfast) and il Vecchio (dinner). Guest passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium was an added plus. The house is comfortably furnished with adequate amounts of linens and kitchen wares to make your stay comfortable. The Monarch butterfly decorations throughout the house were a whimsical touch.

Excellent location

We should have stayed longer! Great location with easy walk to the aquarium. The kids loved walking past the seals and we had a short drive down to see a wonderful sunset. The aquarium passes were a huge benefit, as it meant we could spend a little time there over two days and the kids didn't get exhausted. The house completely met our needs, was comfortable, and looks exactly like you see in the pictures. Hank and Lori were very flexible and allowed us to stay as late as we wanted on the day we left. They also accomodated all my questions. Very nice! We hope to come back again soon.

Great house for family and small dog! Great communication with owners! We were in town for a wedding. The location was perfect. Loved the back yard! The house has everything you need. We will be back in the future.

We had the perfect weekend in Pacific Grove. The weather was excellent, we sat and enjoyed the backyard patio all three afternoons. The location is ideal, one block from the running/biking trail by the bay. We enjoyed morning runs, afternoon walks, and evening fires. It was nice to cook in and enjoy relaxing at home. We hope to be back soon.

This lovely rental is just as described and so comfortable and convenient. The owners were wonderfully responsive to our needs. We were with our toddler grandson; the yard was lovely and safe for him. The children's videos were perfect and gave the adults a great break from toddlerhood. There is an abundance of clean, comfy seating in the large living room with a view of the bay. The aquarium passes were an awesome value. I was able to go with my grandson for several days while his parents went kayaking, hiking, etc. We appreciated all the little supplies in the kitchen that are so nice when flying and staying for just a few days. Pacific Grove is awesome and this home is in the middle of it all!

My daughter, son-in-law and I spent 3 wonderful days in this home which was located half-way between Cannery Row and Lover's Point, and we walked to each on the wonderful trail along the ocean. The home was very comfortable (especially the beds) and we enjoyed grilling steaks one night on the patio. We also enjoyed the view of the ocean from the large living room windows. We certainly recommend the home to anyone who wants to stay in Pacific Grove and also visit Monterey and Pebble Beach which we did. Don't miss visiting the excellent aquarium using the free tickets that the owners provide. We loved our visit and thank you, Hank and Lori, for the privilege of rentng it.

We have quite a bit of family in Monterey and visit every summer. This is the first time we have rented a house for our stay, and after this year's trip, we will ALWAYS rent a house. The house had a fabulous location and the aquarium passes were great to have. The house was clean and comfortable and was larger than we had expected. My husband and I had one room, our 2 daughters shared the other room, and our son slept comfortably on the couch. Our children ( ages 2, 4, & 6) could play safely in the enclosed backyard without being constantly watched. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to family and friends. We had a great time at Hank and Lori's place. It was the perfect location to get to all of the places we wanted to see. Many of the places were within walking distance and it was close to restaurants. The house had all the basic items needed for cooking and it had a great back porch with a grill. The large living room was nice for relaxing for the whole family and the view of the water was nice. A telescope allowed daily views of seals and sea otters. If we come back to the Monterey area again, we will definitely try to book this house again. We would highly recommend it!

we stayed here for 3 days and the place was perfect one block to water. a short walk to aqaurium and cannery row stayed here with my wife and 2 daughters the place is actually bigger than we thought large family living room i would recomend this place to anyone looking to go to monterey

Fantastic Location

We loved the location, one block from the beach and a short walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We had not been for years and the aquarium was better than ever, so the free guest passes were very much appreciated. I have food intolerances and NEED to cook for myself, so the full kitchen was great. As was the propane barbeque outside. The beds were comfortable, the living room was spacious and the neighborhood was quiet (well, except for the gulls!) so we were very happy.

What a fabulous location! My husband, son and I (and our terrier Taffy) had such a nice time in your cozy home. Being so close to the coast was ideal... we went on walks every evening and I enjoyed a great morning run along the coast trail. The house was spotless, and roomy, and the large kitchen was perfect or cooking meals (which we did for almost every meal). The aquarium passes were so helpful with our budget—thank you for that! This listing describes the home perfectly... it seems too good to be true, but it's not! I would highly recommend your home, it is nice to be away from the craziness of the touristy areas, but close enough to walk everywhere (including the touristy areas if we wanted!) Thank you for sharing your home.

Great family vacation over the memorial holiday weekend!!

We just returned from a 3 night stay here in Pacific Grove. We had 4 adults and two babies and were very comfortable staying here. The owners were very accomodating...they left 2 pack n plays for us to use. Nice large living/family room with 2 couches, a recliner and rocking chair. Beautiful hardwood floors. Both bedrooms were very clean, the house was in a great location, very easy to walk to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Nice little backyard with bbq which we put to good use. Easy walk to Nob Hill grocery store etc. They left 5 aquarium passes, which is a bonus! It let us do 2 short days at the aquarium so our babies could make it back to sleep and not get overly tired. Everything was clean, good descriptions left of things to do, maps, restaurant menus etc. Cable TV, shower, bath tub. We had a great time, and hope to be back! Thanks Hank and Lori !

Thanks so much to Hank and Lori for another great stay at Lucille's Cottage by the Sea. We spent Christmas 2010 here and now we were back for an extended weekend to honor our daughter's graduation from graduate school and to celebrate with her and her friends. We had several small dinner parties and everyone who came commented positively on this lovely home... because it truly felt like a "home" to all of us. This house definitely has good "vibes"... probably for many years of happiness within the walls. The barbecue grill is a great addition and the aquarium passes were put to good use. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks so much!

Fantastic location

The house is much bigger than anticipated and is an easy walk down to the beach front and trail. A running and bike trail follows along the seafront and the house is in easy walking distance to Monterey Bay Aquarium (the passes you provided were put to good use - thank you). The house was well maintained and everything needed was provided. The flowers in the backyard were beautiful! Thanks for a memorable stay, I hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful time during our 4-night stay. The house is great and very well kept. We really enjoyed the back yard and all of the wonderful foliage. The location was "key" for many walking adventures. We took advantage of the Aquarium passes and had a lot of fun. The ovean view from the living room is great and the spectacular ocean views are a short one-block walk. It was a very nice stroll to lover's point and the pictures captured look like paintings. There is a mural painted that kinda sums up this location. "You can tell Carmel-by-the-sea, Monterey by the smell and Pacific Grove by God". We will look forward to visiting again.

The location of this charming 2 bedroom couldn't be better!!! The home was even better than it looked in the listing...which isn't always the case! Very clean and comfortable with lots of charm. The living area is quite large and we loved the big picture windows looking out at the ocean. We had four adults and a little baby...plus a lovable dog. It was perfect.! The kitchen is easy to use and very bright. With a little babe, we ate in for breakfasts and dinners and enjoyed local restaurants for lunch. Hank and Lori are excellent owners, taking care of our every need, even though we never met them. We will definitely return! Having aquarium passes made the weekend much more affordable! Thank you Hank and Lori!

We had a wonderful 11-day stay. This home is clean, comfortable with a lot of nice conveniences including a full kitchen. It is located in a great location - less than five minute walk to the ocean and only a 15 minute walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Hank and Lori are very easy to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying here - you won't regret it! Thank you!

We stayed here Thur-Sun for a wedding we were attending. The pictures do not do this place justice! It is a beautiful home that really is only 2 blocks away from the water. We enjoyed our time here so much, we can't wait to come back. Hank and Lori were so easy to work with, and would definitely rent from again.

My husband and I stayed here with our two children, ages 4 and 18 months. It was a great little house, big spacious living room and it was very clean and well taken care of. We took advantage of the aquarium passes and went two days. It was so nice that we were within walking distance, because my 18 month old got fussy after a few hours and I was able to walk back to the house with him while my husband stayed at the aquarium with our daughter. Hank and Lori were very accommodating and she responded to all the questions I had. We are hoping to be back next summer.

What a great week

My family and I stayed here for six nights while I attended two separate conferences. The house was in pristine shape and perfect for our needs. The price was very reasonable and there wasn't anything we felt the house needed. The location really can't be beat. It was an easy walk to any and everything. The kids had plenty to do (although the ocean water is pretty cold). I cannot thank Hank and Lori enough for the Aquarium passes too! Hopefully I will be able to return to the area next year for business and we will look to stay here first!

We had a fantastic time in Pacific Grove. Everything is with easy walking distance (the coast, the cannery, downtown Pacific Grove etc.). The house was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The house is a really great bargain for the Monterey area. The neighborhood is cute and very quiet, the neighbors are all very friendly. If I had to complain about anything it would be that there was no BBQ grill. The back patio would be nice for a BBQ! But otherwise it was really fantastic. Thanks Hank and Lori.

Hank and Lori's home in Pacific Grove is warm and welcoming. They provided maps and lots of information about the area and even set out some books and beach toys for our young child. We walked to Lover's Point Beach, the Aquarium, downtown P.G. and Monterey and enjoyed every day there! Really, you don't need a car if you stay here. Everything was incredibly convenient. Thank you Lori and Hank!

Our stay at Lucille's Bougan Villa Del Mar was great! We loved everything about it--the house, the back patio, the ability to park our car and walk everywhere! I would highly recommend this property to family and friends traveling to Pacific Grove! The house is well-maintained and fully stocked. The owners were very accessible and helpful.
