This recently remodeled lakefront home in Lakehead, provides beds for 15 to include 5 bedrooms, including 2 master suites with private baths, 4 baths. Two new 95% efficient HVAC systems plus a huge fireplace make this home quite comfortable for your family and guests. This lakeside home includes a large wrap around deck providing wonderful view of the forest and lake with numerous bird feeders, deer and other wildlife that cross just below the deck almost daily. In addition to indoor dining the deck provides dining for all guests with a nice lawn and brick BBQ which can be used as an evening fire pit, next to a private path down to the lake. The home is pet friendly with a fully wired fenced back yard which includes a childrens play area. A large area on the deck is covered with overhead light/fan to beat the heat.
Upstairs the home provides a nice game room with a full size slate pool table, indoor darts and many board/card games for the whole family. In addition there are numerous DVD movies for all.
Guests can launch their boats etc. just a short distance from the home and usually anchor their water toys in our almost private cove just below the deck, depending on the water height in the lake. The area provides wonderful opportunities for enjoying the lake whether it's boating, wakeboarding, fishing, kayaking or exploring the areas many attractions such as Lake Shasta Caverns, Shasta Dam, Mt Shasta, and the surrounding small towns such as Mt. Shasta City, McCloud, Weed, Dunsmuir, Burney Lassen etc.
Many of these have world renowned fly fishing streams, hiking, shopping, antiquing, gold panning etc. From 15 min to an hour the Shasta area provides numerous waterfalls with brief off road walks to great hikes. We can provide information on many of these attractions to our guests. We have resources for boat/jet ski rentals, boat docks, fishing guide services, and kayaks for guests to rent very reasonably.
Past guests have had a great time watching the area birds to include nesting Screech Owls and Acorn Woodpeckers in their oak tree home 10 ft from the deck, and it is common to have 30-50 birds in the trees and forest just behind the deck during most of each day. We also have a family of Red Squirrels that have babies each year. Last summer the female was often on the deck taking peanuts out of our hands. We can email photos of wildlife if you are interested as well as additional photos of the home or area.

What a great time...Joe's place is wonderful..Great location, plenty of room...a safe place for kids and pets! Joe was very accomodating! We loved it...will be back next year!

We had our family reunion at Shasta Joe's. The house and lake were beautiful. Joe was very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed and if we needed something Joe was just a phone call away. We had our boats and water toys right below the house on the lake. If we wanted to go out on the lake we were just steps away. The water was warm and the cove is very private. By the end of our vacation we were ready to plan our next reunion at Shasta Joe's. I highly recommend Joe's house on the lake for a great getaway. It was so relaxing and comfortable. Joe, you're awesome.

Our visit to Shasta Joe's in June was fantastic. All ages from 2 years , teens, young adults and us older ones--had plenty to do. We loved everything about it--the size, comfort and cleanliness of the cabin itself; the access to the water for swimming, kayaking, and boating; the wildlife; quick and easy access to the trail for ATVs (which took us 7 miles up to the ranger lookout which was gorgeous with its view of Shasta, Lassen, the lake and the Trinity Alps.) Joe was friendly, helpful and available whenever we needed him. Truly a perfect vacation spot.
