Why the Owner Chose Marsh Harbour
Marsh Harbor is located in the northern most portion of the Bahamas. The Abaco's are known as the "bunny slope" because the main Island Great Abaco is surrounded by a ring of islands called Cays pronounced" Keys", then the cays are surrounded by a ring of reefs which protect the "Sound " from extreme waves. The sound is about 100 miles long and 5 miles wide. We are located in the middle of the Abacos about 100 miles east of palm beach , reachable from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Palm beach by major commuter airlines. American, Continental, and several commuter airlines.I will be glad to send you a list. We have excellent stores for everything you will need. Groceries of all kinds are close by. This beautiful area will make you return year after year.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage

Roger & Sandi were the perfect hosts for our stay at Coral Cottage on Sugar Loaf Cay. The cottage is located on a remote cay, yet just a short boat trip from Marsh Harbour and Hope Town. The cottage is fully stocked, clean and comfortable. Getting around by rental boat was very easy and allowed us to visit different cays and sights that a ferry ride simply wouldn't permit. Roger was a great help with offering suggestions for day excursions. We simply can't say enough for the relaxing and enjoyable time we spent on Sugar Loaf and the Marsh Harbour area.
Owner response:Craig and family were perfect guests. We are so glad they were able to enjoy their visit with us. Only being a few minutes from the resort and boat rental company made their trip very easy. We look forward to their return.

We stayed for the month of March and couldn't have had a more perfect time. The views from the cottage were amazing. The beach was well used. Everything needed was there. WiFi worked the entire time no issues. Satellite TV loved having. One trip a week for groceries. A bit of fishing, boat rides here and there, few times out to dinner and back to the States tan and rested. Can't wait for our next trip. Thanks also to Woodie for his help on arrival. Sea Horse rentals (Emerson) nice folks and can't forget Taxi Joe Knowles.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Cottage. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to get back. There was so much to do we couldn't fit it all in a week. The Cottage is spacious and has everything you need and then some. The caretaker Woodie was helpful and a safety line on the night we experienced our first storm with hurricane winds. Amazingly, it blew through and everything went back to normal - no big deal. We visited many of the out islands and certainly enjoyed the great food and visiting with the locals. Roger and Sandi help to make our stay on their property memorable and easy. Because that's the island way!

This cottage provided a perfect early-January vacation for my husband, our 25-year-old daughter, and me. The cottage: peaceful, quiet, tastefully decorated, very clean, well-stocked, good internet connection, full kitchen and big gas barbeque -- and a fabulous view of the sunset. The area (This was our first visit to the Bahamas): warm water (low 70s in January), long, almost deserted soft-sand beaches, many little harbor/towns, each with its own character, great snorkeling, friendly people, small-town, island culture. Marsh Town: Easy to get to and to get around, with any business or store we needed, including Maxwell's with a huge selection of groceries. Transportation: boat, which is great fun on the protected Sea of Abaco, but can be undependable in winter storms (an excuse for a relaxing day with a book and a walk around the small cay). Owners: Sandi, next door, went out of her way to be sure we were comfortable. Their typed, detailed suggestions for activities, thoughtful and laminated, accompanied us on many great adventures.

Our week long stay at the cottage was magnificent and adventurous. We had such a great time and would highly recommend this trip to everyone. The information given to us by the owner before we arrived was very helpful in planning our activities each day. Our favorite restaurant was Wally's in Marsh Harbor. We loved snorkeling and spending the afternoon at Nippers. Another favorite was shelling for sand dollars at Tilloo Bank. The water is so beautiful and breathtaking. Island hopping is easy from the cottage. There are so many fun things to do, we ran out of time. I guess we will just have to come back!!

Beautiful cottage, beautiful location on Sugarloaf Cay. The house is very charming. It was very clean and well-equipped. There is easy access to the other islands via boat. There are several boat rental establishments in Marsh Harbour - Sea Horse, Blue Wave, etc to choose from. We do recommend buying groceries at Marsh Harbour and/or bringing non-perishables from home. For those who need internet access, this place certainly fits the bill. The cottage has water on two sides and screened-in porches overlooking both. Roger and Sandy are very accommodating and nice. We highly recommend it! Chances are good that we'll be back!
Owner response:Just like every guest who stays here. Everyone loves the private quite atmosphere.

Roger and Sandy Our stay was very enjoyable and we thank you for your help in preparing us for our stay. Your information and advice, along with author Steve Dodges book "Cruising the Abacos", allowed us to cruise from St.Augustine to Marsh Harbor and your cottage with no problems. It is a very peaceful and private location and having our boat docked right there was great. The cottage had virtually everything we could need and the views from both front and back are super. The fact that you have a good relationship with the people at the closeby Marina was a big help. Thanks to Sandy for providing answers to our questions and tools for our emergency outrigger repairs. The only regret that we had was that the time disappeared before we were able to do even a fraction of what is available. Thanks again Greg
Owner response:These gentlemen sure had a great time, They brought their own boat for offshore fishing

We had a wonderful Easter break here. Our boys, ages 9&13, loved the boating, fishing, swimming and exploring. The house is exactly as described - even with some extras. We used Roger's fishing rods and there was snorkeling equipment (although we brought our own). The view from the house is just spectacular, with a water view from every room in the house. There is a small beach at the house (we didn't spend much time there - too many other things to see!) The dock was well marked and easy to get in and out, even at low tide. Roger is a gracious host (he happened to be staying in his main house for part of our trip) and also was very helpful prior to our trip by giving us detailed instructions for arrival and boat rentals. And his choices for sightseeing and dining were exactly right. I have already recommended this place to several of our friends, and we can't wait to go back someday!
Owner response:What a great family . They built some wonderful memories at our island. We hope they come back to stay again.

Our family of 4 stayed for a week in the cottage and had our best vacation ever. The cottage is clean and well maintained and is located on a private island with dock. Although there are other houses on the island it feels as if you are on your own island because of the large lots and dense vegetation between houses. The dock is good with plenty of water for an outboard at all tides. I highly recommend this house and will difinately return.
Owner response:I know their entire family enjoyed their stay. Please come back again.
