The Charm of a house in the heart of Paris!

Come and stay in our gorgeous, quiet 2 bedroom house in the heart of Paris, very close from the renowned rue Mouffetard street market. You can enjoy the famous Mouffetard neighborhood; The street is fantastic, mainly pedestrian with lots of cafes, boulangeries, delis and restaurants, etc. You walk up to the Place Contrascarpe, where Hemingway lived.

A house in the very heart of Paris is very rare. It has all the features you could dream of: working fireplace, marble floor, small private garden terrace, nice spaces.

In a very quiet private alley, just a stone’s throw from the 5th arrondissement, you will enjoy a very large living room and its fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped and will allow you to produce the best gourmet meals. On warm days, you can relax on the garden-terrace. The first floor is extremely bright with a spacious high ceiling space, an office and internet access. One large bedroom has a view of the garden and private alley, very spacious closets and a large bookcase. The second bedroom is very bright and the mezzanine allows you to sleep one extra person.

Furnished with nice antique furniture, the house comes fully-equipped: induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine. Cable Television comes with 150 channels; there is a PC for internet browsing and Wi-Fi access for your laptop. Phone calls to US and most European landlines are free.

The location is very nice - if you don't know the 5th arrondissement already, downhill from the Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens - it is a mainly pedestrian area, with lots of little market streets, cafés, typically parisian restaurants.

This was also our family home for the last 10 years, after returning from a long stay in the US. You will be greeted and welcomed directly by us or a professional, English speaking hostess who will accommodate your every need while in Paris. Be our guests!

  • This house was by far the best decision we made for our stay in Paris. Not only was it in a perfect location, but we had adamant space and comfort. There were five adults and we stayed toward the end of May 2009. I cannot stress how happy we were to stay here. The open air market is literally five minutes (walking) away, and we stocked up and ate breakfast and two dinners at the house. We were close to the metro and plenty of bread shops, coffee bars, and a variety of restaurants. The house provided all we needed, and then some. The sofa bed is the most comfortable sofa bed you will ever sleep on! Philippe and his wife were wonderful and accommodating. Part of our group arrived early and they helped us make arrangements to store our luggage until we could check-in to the house. The house manager is also super helpful and can answer all your questions. Word to the American tourist: it is a “bath-shower”…meaning it’s not a standing shower, but truly not a big deal. You adapt! I highly recommend this rental for your vacation in Paris!

  • This was a fantastic rental! We rented several apts in Paris through VRBO and this is by far the best ever. The pictures do not do justice to the house: very high ceilings and skylights make this a very airy place. One minor related caveat: the mezzanine and single bed bedroom are lit at pretty much all times of day (and night in June!) by these skylights, so bring eye masks if you are sensitive to light. This little oasis is calm and delightful, and yet services and superb food abound in the area. Easy access to the metro brings le marais, louvre and les Halles at 20 minutes. Or you can just stroll to the Jardin du Luxembourg. Bonus: the owners are extremely nice and helpful.

  • I truly recommend this lovely little house nested near one of the nicest marketplaces in Paris. We loved the neighbouring café life and delicious bakeries, the walk up to the Pantheon and Luxembourg gardens and down to the Seine river. And we slept like babies... and enjoyed trying our hands at French cooking.

  • A garden in the middle of Paris, what a great luxury! We stayed here for a week and found the house very cosy and comfortable. The location is wonderful, right near rue Moufetard and its lively neighborhood. Next visit in Paris, we´ll would love to come back to this little paradise!

  • Thank you very much to the owners for that very smart and comfortable little house with a little garden(amazing in Paris!), we enjoyed the neighborhood too.Our two children spent a good time in the mouffetard quarter. We really enjoyes the place and appreciate the kindness of the owners. We plan to come back next year.
