Year Purchased: 2001
It has always been a dream of ours to own a vacation home near the beach. When we first saw this house we knew it was 'The One'. Raising our family of young children we wanted them to grow up surrounded by their extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Our beach house makes this possible. It is a place to get together to relax, laugh, and make memories. We hope you are able to enjoy it as much as we have!
Why the Owner Chose Centerville
We have always been 'beach people' and wanted to expose our children to all that Cape Cod has to offer. Centerville is a quaint village in the town of Barnstable which is located right in the middle of Cape Cod (the locals refer to it as 'mid-cape'). Our family jokingly refer to the house as Day Trip Central. We love the spontaneity of whisking the kids off to a day of biking the 'upper cape' or hitting the National Seashore on 'lower cape'. Also the ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are only 5 min's from our house! It's really the perfect location to enjoy all the cape has to offer. But, our most precious Cape Cod memories happen only 1/2 a mile from our house entertaining all our friends and family on Craigville Beach...playing in the warm water with the kids, walking the beach for shells or just watching the beautiful sunset at the end of the day.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our home is perfect for multiple families traveling together. It is spacious enough when you want to all be together for eating meals, playing cards, sitting on the deck or kicking the ball around in the fenced-in-yard. But there are also plenty of places to retreat for some alone-time to read, watch TV or just listen to the radio. The two living rooms makes it very easy to entertain upstairs while the kids can play downstairs. Guests looking to spend time with their extended family comment on how well the layout works for them.

What an incredible family vacation we had on The Cape! The house was so big that you never felt like you were cramped and it was so close to the ocean for great beach days. Very close to Hyannis for nice shopping and great dining. Thank you to the owners so much for the privilege of renting their wonderful home.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
