  We had the awesome opportunity to stay here in August, 2012 and immediately fell in love with the place. It was better than described. The pictures don't do it justice. It was so clean and open. The view of the "River" is just breathtaking. We fished right there and caught some pretty nice fish. The location of this home couldn't be more convenient...we shopped in Morhead City, ate in Beaufort and relaxed right there at the house. Also, the fact that it is a dog-friendly home was important to us. Thanks so much and we will definitely be staying again in 2013! I'm just sorry it took me so long to write this review---I thought I had already done it, oops!

  Our group had a wonderful time over a long weekend at this house. The view is gorgeous and there's a great screened porch - I think we spent more time there than anywhere else! Close access to the water was great for our kayaks, as well.

  THIS WAS OUR FIRST FAMILY VACATION AT THE BEACH . EVERYONE REALLY ENJOYED STAYING AT YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOME . WE VISITED FORT MACON WHICH WAS REALLY NICE AND ALSO TOOK THE ISLAND ADVENTURES BOAT TO HARKERS INLAND THE KIDS AND THE ADULTS REALLY HAD A BALL SWIMMING,WATCHING THE WILD PONIES AND GATHERING SEA SHELLS, THE BOAT RIDE THERE AND BACK WAS COOL TOO THE GENTLEMAN DRIVING THE BOAT WAS VERY NICE AND TOLD US STORIES ABOUT BEAUFORT HISTORY AND DIFFERENT THINGS TO DO . WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER. THE NEIGBORHOOD WAS REALLY NICE AND THE NEIGHBORS WERE REALLY FRIENDLY TOO.I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE. THERE IS LOTS OF STUFF TO DO CLOSE BY ,SHOPPING , GROCERY STORES, PLACES TO EAT. THANK YOU FOR LETTING US RENT YOUR HOME FOR 2 NIGHTS MOST PLACES YOU HAVE TO STAY THE WHOLE WEEK WHICH I COULD'NT AFFORD THAT WAS REALLY A BLESSING FOR US TOO. THE HOUSE ALSO HAD EVERYTHING YOU NEED.THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING OUR FAMILY MAKE MEMORIES WE WILL REMEMBER FOREVER.

  We loved staying here, the property was very nice, and the view was amazing. Some of the most beautiful sunrises I have seen! The location is central to many activities and restaurants, as well a shopping. We couldn't have been more pleased!

  My wife and I stayed at Beaufort House over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is located in a nice neighborhood right on the North River, not far from the grocery store, post office, CVS, etc, so everything we needed was right around the corner. It is also located between Beaufort and Harker's Island (the best access point for Cape Lookout National Seashore). We spent a day at the beach by taking a ferry (Calico Jacks, which was only $10) from the island to the Seashore/Lighthouse, complete with wild horse viewing. We spent the rest of our time at the house and in Beaufort itself. The house was great and had everything we needed. The layout itself is awesome and each room has it's own personality. The only thing I didn't see on the website was that there is wireless internet at the house (maybe I overlooked it), so be sure to bring your laptop to research the area while you're there. We enjoyed our stay so much that we're strongly considering reserving again in the future when our family comes to visit us in North Carolina.

  The house is roomy, comfortable, clean and charming. The view of the water is great and the backyard is luxuriously large. It is not too far away from town and our entire group loved it and all wished we had been able to stay and enjoy it longer.

  Would love to go back; House had all the amendies that anyone could ask for. Didn't stay long enough. I would love to bring the boat back and go fishing!!!!

  We escaped the awful winter in Michigan and had a wonderful month in Beaufort. We met many of our neighbors, who were so welcoming and friendly, it really was like a home away from home. So peaceful and yet only a short drive to downtown Beaufort to sample some of the excellent restaurants offered. It was very hard to leave. Kathy and Jack were a great help suggesting which restaurants to try and where to buy THE BEST fresh fish. It's definitely a place we would return to.
