Green Turtle Cay was originally settled by fishermen so many of the older homes downtown have the white picket fences and gingerbread trim with pastel colours that are favoured in the Bahamas Out Islands.
Coco Sands is located on one of the highest points in Green Turtle Cay with beautiful views of sunset on the Sea of Abaco side, and sunrises on the Atlantic side. Fresh ocean breezes are a delight on our covered patio. Guests at Coco Sands can be busy all day, scuba diving, snorkeling, shelling, boating, taking trips to the beach, exploring New Plymouth's museums and quaint shops, or just taking advantage of the peace and tranquility to read a book you've brought or borrow one of ours. It's perfectly acceptable to do nothing at all, without any guilt. Coco Sands fully equipped kitchen, and BBQ grill, will be welcome for "chefs" who want to cook their own catch after coming back from a day's fishing. Or if your catch wasn't cooperating, make quick reservations at the Green Turtle Club restaurant nearby. Great retreat for families or couples, and children love the freedom of this small island cay. Rediscover board games, cards, or just conversation and cocktails as you relax and unwind in Coco Sands laid back relaxed atmosphere.

We just returned from a 10 day stay at Coco Sands. The home is lovely - just like the pictures! The view is beautiful - a perfect place to watch the sunsets. The home was very clean and supplied well. The bed in the master was very comfortable although difficult to get out of due to having only 1 mattress and the rails being high. Beach towels were plentiful and it was very nice to have a washer and dryer. I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately the TV downstairs could only be used with the VCR/DVD player - which we didn't know or we would have brought movies. Also it said there was a telephone and there wasn't. This was a problem as there were several local calls we needed to make. A telephone or VHF radio are very helpful on an island as remote as this. Thankfully we had no emergencies. The wifi was good and was our only means of communicating. These 2 things along with the wifi and washer/dryer were the deciding factors for us choosing this house. We didn't cook except grilled sandwiches but the skillets leave a lot to be desired. The food on the island is excellent at all the restaurants we ate at. Coco Bay and Gillam Bay are beautiful. Found lots of treasures. Going out with Brendal is a must! All and all an excellent vacation at a lovely home. Thanks for sharing it with us.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Whatever you dreamed of finding in the Bahamas, in Green Turtle Cay your search is over. We stayed twice in this lovely house. Once with two Couples during the heritage festival, once with our kids in the summer, both times we had a great time. As soon as you step in the spacious, lovely decorated house you feel the island life catching on to you. We especially enjoyed taking a drink or two on the veranda and were stunned by the view. Best of all with the two floors we had enough space to spread out. The house is a short walk away from a lovely little village right by the dock. Quiet and peaceful places with an amazing beach also very close by. The beach was full of sand dollars and other beautiful shells and especially the kids loved the hunt for them. The people of Green Turtle were super friendly and always ready to share their paradise with us. Thank you very much Stephanie and Randy for sharing your amazing house with us……we will be back for sure!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
