When we first entered the home, we all said "wow" as it is a beautiful home, very nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and the kitchen is stocked with every item you should need. The listing and pictures are exact, Edye was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this property. The weather was beautiful and each morning the dolphins put on a show for us, as we watched them from the deck. Very quiet and relaxing. We met some great folks on the beach, very friendly. Horseback riding on the beach was amazing , thanks to Rockin' M Ranch. We absolutely love Cape San Blas, and this home is great! Thank you, Edye for sharing your beautiful home.
Owner response:I am happy that you love Cape San Blas as much as we do! Please come back again (soon!) :-)

We stayed for a week just before Memorial Day. We had a wonderful time. It was very relaxing, the beach was great and you pretty much had it to yourself. You could leave everything out there over night if you wanted. The place was great, everything we needed was available (blenders, cooking utensils, etc.) The A/C worked great. Great communication with owners, the package they sent had excellent directions and a list of things to do and places to eat. We would definitely stay there again.

We were VERY pleased with our recent stay. We didn't want to leave! Though the pictures on here are good, they do not do the home, appointments, or view justice. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised at how great it looked! Much more than what I expected from a rental. The furniture is very nice, of good quality, and in good condition. Spent a LOT of time on the outdoor deck built-in furniture and ate several meals and snacks out there or on the deck bar facing out to the ocean. Since the Cape curves outwards, the completely unobstructed views are PHENOMENAL, horizon as far as you can see left or right. Sunsets will take your breath away! Beach was mostly quiet and family-friendly. Distance to beach and water is literally just across a small dune. Made great memories walking the beach, building bonfires at night, watching dolphins, and just hearing the serene "whoosh" of the waves. Our boys loved the lighthouses and searching for seashells, and the older kids enjoyed snorkeling in the bay and seeing all the different marine life. Closest town of Port St. Joe had just enough to fill any needs we had, but not so much that we got overwhelmed. Very "Old Florida" feel to both the Cape and surrounding areas. From a mom's perspective: I spent a LOT of time in the kitchen, and anything I could have needed was there, everything from a tea jug for the fridge to very nice serving and silverware. LOVED the granite counter tops and deep sink, and dishwasher was a big plus. We had four households (included 2 toddlers and 5 preteen/teenage boys) on our trip and enough room in the pantry and fridge for 3-4 days worth of food, which was GREAT for our group. We had several meals at the large table with all the family gathered around, and enjoyed game nights there as well. Washer and dryer were quiet and conveniently located. The location of the home was VERY convenient for our small children, who sometimes had urgent potty needs, needed something from the house, or got ready for a nap. Just take the path over the dune and you're in the driveway! As someone else mentioned in another review, the owners are very good about promptly remedying any issues that may arise. We've been home about a week now and we miss it terribly. Even our little four-year-old keeps talking about going back to the beach house :) We would definitely stay there again in the future!

This is our 2nd winter at Cape San Blas and of all the beaches we have visited over our 50yrs of married life, none is more beautiful. The sand is soft and white and right ourside your doorstep. The water is clear and blue and 50 yards from your porch with views that spans the uncrowded beach. You can walk for miles, collecting shells or just enjoying the curve of the horizon. The house is large and comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed to enjoy cooking while looking at the ocean, or the flat screen tv. If chilly, light a fire or soak in the downstairs hottub. Most of all, if you love the beach, here, it is your front yard. You will enjoy many good restaurants in Port St Joe and Apalachicola, fine food but GREAT oysters! Last of all, Edye and Don are owners who are fast and efficient in taking care of any problem you might have.

The stay here was excellent. Couldn't be closer to the beach, and the views were absolutely marvelous. All furniture and appliances were in pristine condition, and the accommodations were very comfortable. Highly recommended.
