Myrtle Lodge, a lovely 5 bedroom home on historic Pawleys Island is ideal for vacationing families and friends. Relax in a rocking chair or hammock on one of the many porches and enjoy the view of the beach and Atlantic Ocean. Head down to the beach on a private walkway with a sitting area on the deck. Hardwood floors and bright colors welcome you after a day of fun on the beach, crabbing or fishing in the creek which is only a short walk from the house.
The open living/dining/kitchen, which is located on the second floor is a wonderful place for families to gather. The den downstairs is a great place for the younger folks to enjoy watching their favorite program or movie. Want a vacation from cooking, head out to the mainland. You can find anything from seafood to pizza in restaurants from Pawleys Island, Murrells Inet all the way to Myrtle Beach. You will find a variety of shops, golf courses, putt-putt golf, entertainment arcades and a local nature preserve on the mainland. The house has Wireless Internet access and answering machine for those who need to keep in contact with work or family. The house is available to rent all year.

Year Purchased: 1997
The property that our house is located on has been in my family for over 40 years. T My brothers and I built this house so others could enjoy Pawleys as much as we did growing up there. Pawleys Island is a great place to bring family. My grandfather started our family off in rental property as far back as the 1950's. He had five houses there that were destroyed in Hurricane Hazel. The island itself is very quiet but once you are on the mainland you will find shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

This house was perfect for our group! We had a group of 10 adults and had plenty of room. The house is beautiful and well-kept. The best part is, its right on the beach! We couldn't have enjoyed our time here more and will plan to come back again. Plus, working with this owner was a breeze.

We rented you home instead of staying in several hotel rooms for the week during my niece's wedding. There was plenty of room for my wife and me and our extended family (son, daughter, 2 daughters with husbands). Best part, everyone had their own bathroom. The first night we celebrated my father-in-law's 80th birthday. My sister-in-law's family came out from Georgetown for the evening. We had a great view of the ocean and plenty of room on the main floor so that no one felt crowded. The sound of the surf provided a nice background to the family get together as the double doors remained open with unseasonably warm weather. Throughout the week we could get away from the madness of wedding prep to the refuge of the ocean front vacation home. The bride could remain calm in her own home without a parade of extended family constantly coming and going. Your home also provided refuge for the 11AM check-out people after the wedding while they waited for their flights. Your father designed a home where family can meet and share the day but still have privacy in their own rooms and bathrooms. Thank you for sharing your home with us and hopefully we will return as we have two more unmarried niece's in the Georgetown area.

We had a fabulous time at Myrtle Lodge. A prefect beach weekend in May 2010. The house was so roomy and had everything we needed, including a great sound system that played throughout the house. The private beach access was so convenient. Most vacation rentals have horrible beds. Not this house. The sleeping arrangements were perfect and made everyone feel at home. The pictures do not lie, this house is really as great as it looks and sounds in the advertisement. We will definitely be returning.
