  We had 6 adults and 5 small children and this house was set up perfectly for our families. The bedrooms upstairs are very large and set up perfectly for large groups. The house is has lots of toys and games for the kids too, which was very nice! We thought this was a very nice rental and the owner is a pleasure to work with. The only thing I would mention is that the house is in a slightly remote area, so plan on bringing all of your groceries and supplies with you. The owner told us this before we arrived and it was a good tip! We hope to return someday in the summer!

  We had a wonderful time at this house. It is a lovely accommodation and very well outfitted. There were ten of us, and we found it amply spacious. We enjoyed having the ping pong table and the foosball table.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: It's easy to maneuver through this quiet, clean,spacious home and the master bedroom is on the main floor too! Great for any type of group and loaded with toys, movies, and games for all ages. Close to many differant kinds of entertainment or just relax in. Let me provide the extras so you can pack light. Fully furnished 3300 sq. ft home waiting for you!

  My family of 6 (four girls between 17 and 9) had a wonderful stay at the Cove earlier this month, and would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to vacation in the Wisconsin Dells area. The house is just far enough away from the craziness of downtown Wisconsin Dells, but close enough to get to all the attractions within about 30 min. We especially liked that it was so close (less than 10 min.) to Devil's Lake State Park, which is really a gem. We spent a full day and part of another just in the park - the hiking is great, and the girls loved swimming and boating in the lake. Also close by the Cove are Wollersheim Winery and Cave of the Mounds, which were both fun to tour. In Wisconsin Dells, we did the Upper Dells Boat tour, spend a day at Noah's Ark water park, visited the Wisconsin Deer Farm, and shopped at the Tanger Outlet mall. We enjoyed and would recommend all of these. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. It was just perfect to come back to the Cove after a busy day of activities, to relax and be together as a family. We cooked all our own breakfasts and suppers while we were there, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The screened porch is such a nice feature and we ate several meals out there. Also really appreciated the big bedrooms. The master suite is gorgeous, and the upstairs bedrooms are huge, with 3 beds in each of them. The girls loved having their own space, and we loved not hearing arguments about having to share a bed! The basement rec area was also a big hit with the girls, and they enjoyed all the games, puzzles, etc. We had a couple of questions after we arrived, and the owner was so helpful in answering them quickly. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here again.

  Owner response: Although I have brochures available in the home to help with vacation planning, nothing is like hearing it from a previous visitor! Sounds like a great time, very busy and yes it is nice to have a spacious comfy place to come back to for meals and to relax with family and/or friends. I am always available for any questions or needs you may have while staying at "The Cove"!

  The place is situated away from the city and offers great views. Clean, newly furnished, and accessible from each side. We enjoyed sitting in the patio area, playing ping-pong and fuss table. All the kitchen hardware and iron and board are there so that's a plus! We recommend going to the Devil's Lake, nice views, beach,and you could find an interesting rock (if kids like rock picking), and only $10 to enter. Then, the Dells and Baraboo are right there too. Overall, we would recommend this rental to anyone, the owners made us feel right at home!

  We just spent the weekend at The Cove and it worked great for three couples. Plenty of space to kick back and relax, plus three large bedrooms for private time. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. The home is very clean and nicely furnished. Quiet neighborhood, private. Devil's Head golf course is just across the street. Hiking, Lake Wisconsin, more golf, the Merrimac ferry, all minutes away. Owners are very helpful and accessible if necessary.

  My friends and I stayed here for a weekend and found this place to be perfect. Plenty of room for everybody and everything. All the amenities anybody could need, plus some. We had a bunch of rain when we were there but the screen porch worked perfect for cards and games. Thumbs up!

  Owner response: This was a men's group and we were happy to have them. He indicated coming back in the winter to ski. The home is perfect like he said for women and families as well regardless of the weather. Give it a try, you will be happy with your decision that you stayed at "The Cove"!

  My family of 6 , 4 kids ranging from 4 - 14 all stayed here at our first visit to the DELLS area over springbreak. The Home was very clean and in good condition, it sits on the corner of small cul-de-sac. My family loved playing ping pong & fuseball , I loved the screened porch for meals , and the firepit in the backyard for sitting around in the evening. Laurel (owner) was a delight to work with , very helpful . Having the ability to eat breakfast and another meal at "Home" rather than eat out 2 - 3 meals , saved us money ( and prob much healthier) BE SURE to pack a cooler and whatever dried goods your family eats, NOT much nearby as far as SuperMarket( although 12 minutes away was small health foods store in Baraboo) . You are nestled in stands of trees and rolling hills, nature's beauty on diplay......we saw a few Herons just down the road ( really cool) . 2 bedrooms upstairs sleep 3 people comfortably , but there is room for more . main floor has nice eat -in kitchen . and large master bedroom & master bath. great having 4 bathrooms ( 2 on mainfloor) . the Dells were just 25 minute drive , we played frisbee golf at UW - Baraboo , challenging 18 hole course. We took in a movie at a very old classic movie house ( RINGLING Theater - Yes , the same circus Ringling family) The Circus museum was closed for the season. Open from May -Oct . It was so nice to have a great nights sleep in a quiet neighborhood after our days of activities of go carts or shopping , etc.

I do recommend for the first night bringing the food items you will need but like you said Baraboo is just over the bluff and also has a Super Walmart! Each of the upstairs bedrooms have two twins, one full and plenty of space for an air mattress if you would like. Just let me know and I will provide the linens for that too. Great tips on extra curricular activities as I have not heard of the Baraboo UW frisbee golf range. If you have not stayed at The Cove, you should. Relax, get a good nights sleep and leave the rest up to us. That's what your vacation is all about, right?

  We all loved to stay in your house, all my friends were happy with all my arrangements :-) I have a 4'th family now that they want to go together with me :-)). We were skiing for the whole day (plus/minus) with the kids night time, and we played cards for the nights, cook something, played ping-pong (I forgot two of my ping-pong rackets ;-) but don't worry about those). We all loved it. They all loved the house, big, spacious (many switches :-), I hope we left the house on the right condition, and I didn't remember if the outside lights were on, because we left it on.On Feb. 5 we were skiing in the morning till 3, come back, pack in the cars and left the house around 4 and went skiing again, and left the Resort around 6. And when we pass the house we said ups... the light outside ;-) Thanks a lot, My family and friends.

  We had a wonderful stay at this home for my mom's 60th birthday celebration! We had ten people total, including four young children. The lay out was perfect for two families of four upstairs and a "grandparents suite" downstairs. The house is steps away from the ski hill and has great space for playing in the basement too. We liked that the home had everything we needed including toys and movies and all the kitchen items needed for full meals as a family. Our only constructive criticisms would be that the kitchen working area is quite small (one bum kitchen) and there is no actual dining room or table (just more of a counter seating in the already tight kitchen). The extra play space and size of the bedrooms more than made up for this issue. Other feedback would be the need for a couple of fixes (stair rail was broken which made us a bit nervous with little kids running up and down and the tiles in the bathroom etc). All in all, it was a great weekend and perfect for a family get away for less than you would pay at the Devil's Head Resort :)

  Owner response: We're happy to hear your mom's birthday weekend was a success and you're right the home is perfect for families. Many of our renters are ladies groups as well that return annually. With great room style homes generally there is not a formal dining area and the table with chairs seats six comfortably and provides a nice large space for games and cards. There is also a card table set provided for additional seating. The butcher block island is nice for your food preperation and provides serving space. Unfortunately, a recent renter leaned over the custom built railing and an order to have it tightened back up has been placed. As mentioned we provide all the extras possible including games, toys, movies, linens, paper products and kitchen staple items to make your vacation planning easier with less to have to pack!

  We rented The Cove for a birthday party/guys weekend, and the property and owners did not disappoint. The location and property are beautiful, and well suited to large groups. There is plenty to do in the house and nearby, and the house is clean and well-maintained. Most of all, the owners are easy-going and great to work with. Highly recommend!
