A magnificent Astoria home right on the Columbia River and yet close to everything the town has to offer.
There is a walking path in front of the house that takes you along the river to downtown (15 min. walk) or the other way to a huge new Safeway, Starbucks and other points of interest. You can take the trolley that runs in front of the house for a 45 minute ride for only $1. The path is also great for bicycle riding.
The home has a wonderful active view where you can watch the huge cargo ships come and go. Beautiful furnishings are found in every room. The huge master bedroom has a wonderful view with a window seat for ship gazing, large sitting room with gas fireplace, a walk-in closet and a private master bath.
The home features a gourmet kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and everything else you might need.
We do request that you bring your own sheets and towels. We have two queen beds (one in the master), two twin beds in a very large room upstairs and one double on the main floor.
We have a no smoking, no pets and no small children policy.

Year Purchased: 2007
We live in Portland, Oregon and are both semi retired. We love to travel, read, and and spend time with each other, family and friends. We are active in our church and community. We have been married almost 40 years, have one daughter who is married and lives in Bellingham. We are proud grandparents to 3 year old, Daphne, and another girl on the way. Our daughter is a professional wedding photographer, in case you are getting married (please as for contact information).
Why the Owner Chose Astoria
We feel that Astoria is a hot spot and people are starting to discover it as a tourist destination. There is so much history here and well as lots of outdoor activities, cultural events, and great places to eat. There are not many waterfront homes in Astoria and we feel very fortunate to have this one.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love walking to town on the footpath or walking the other way to visit the seal lions on the docks. In the summer, there is a farmer's market every Sunday and throughout the year, the restored historic Liberty theatre has concerts that to enjoy.
