This beautiful house has 3000+ square feet of luxurious living. Lots of wide open space with a surround view of river and mountains. A small pond in the back, and a spring which is filtered into the house for drinking water. You'll feel like you are in paradise watching the seasons and river roll by. The large bright European kitchen is a delight to cook in and fellowship with your family or guests. Two master suites and a third bedroom with a trundle that will also make into a king if requested.Quiet location near the end of the road with plenty of parking and tent space. Also a full hook up for an RV with a charge of $35 a day extra.
Keywords: Many people refer to our house as the house of glass. It has many windows that accommodate the beautiful surroundings. I call it the Gathering place Chalet as it is an exquisite place to get together with family and friends.

The house and location were lovely for a staff retreat. The home is quite large with high ceilings and large gathering spaces. The river is wonderful to look at and the home was nicely equiped with most any cooking utensil you might have needed. Only MINOR thing-There was a small plumbing issue that the owners very quickly responded to investigate. So, I would believe that the issue has been solved for future users.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Our youth group had a blast at this house! We had 18 people stay 3 very comfortable nights in this riverside house in a quiet neighborhood! The kitchen had every pot, pan, utensil we could think of, the beds were very comfortable, and the view was extraordinary. The owner, Carol, met us to introduce us to the house and she was very hospitable, thoughtful, and positive. Definitely recommended for large groups. We had a lot of great board game time and good times around the ENORMOUS dining room table!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

All members of our extended families (20 people) enjoyed every moment of our stay on August 14, 2010 at this unique beautiful spacious rental home and we felt like at home. It has beautiful scenary as viewing from the inside windows or from the balcony looking toward the river bank with nearby birds flying/landing. We had a great time at this peaceful relaxing place. We would come back again and definitely recommend to all of our friends and others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We've been married 40 years and and we have a very large family. Rick is a retired music teacher, and I, Carol, am a homemaker who wears many hats. Rick is now a fishing guide on the river. I on the other hand am the full time caregiver to our quadriplegic son . We are Christians and music is a major part of our lives. The highlight so far is becoming Grandparents to three little munchkins.
Why the Owner Chose Florence:
We live in such a beautiful area that when this house became available to us we opted to buy this spacious home rather than enlarging ours for family gatherings. It is close by, so we have easy access for cleaning, setting up for guests as we often do, and renting to wonderful folks like yourself.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This house is located on a single lane road that dead ends, and is great for bike riding, and walks along the Siuslaw river. The view of the rivers, and mountains can be seen from every window in the home. The great room includes kitchen, dining for 20, and living room all in one. The kitchen can accommodate several cooks at one time. The grounds work well for camping, and during summer we have river access for swimming. Family room has big screen T.V. with wood stove, and game table. Living room has electric fireplace, and three love sets for a cozy setting. Laundry facility and large single car garage connected. Garden with over 100 roses and surround deck with barbecue and table and chairs. With all the square footage I allow more than 6 guest for an extra charge of $10 a day for each over 6. I have 5 bedrolls, a cot, a child size mattress and a playpen.
