  My husband & I so enjoyed our 10+ days at the Rose Apt. and had a most wonderful stay because of the set-up & location. I came primarily for work, and had the fun of trotting off to catch one of several nearby Metro lines in the morning and returning to enjoy this non-touristy spot (all of Paris feeling safe at night, but this neighborhood - a neighborhood, not at all touristy as a good portion of the Marais now feels - especially so). We got to know staff at the local tabac & cafes (all of Erica & Tom's recommendations great).The loft bedrm is just enough of a separation from main living space and we felt so nicely tucked in on several rainy nights. Big windows a plus (though the courtyard only gets so much light). As noted in other reviews, the Monoprix is literally 10 paces away; even more grocery options just a bit further. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

  For our second trip to Paris, we were lucky to find this charming loft apartment for the three of us. Erica and Tom were extremely responsive to our needs. It had everything we needed at the end of our trip including a washer/dryer. The apartment has ample closet space and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed starting our days at the corner patisserie for coffee and croissants, then walking to Pompidou, Notre Dame and even the Jardin de Luxembourg. When we were tired of walking, it was convenient to have a choice between three Metro stops within a 5 minute walk. We loved the local bistros in the area. We highly recommend this apartment and will be back.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  My husband and I have lived in France and, since moving back to the U.S., have returned many times for extended visits. This means over the years we've rented a ton of different apartments in Paris, mostly in the Marais. We can honestly say that this "stylish loft on charming courtyard" is the best place we've found. It's in a good central location, yet quiet, and equipped with everything you need or might need. The owners are friendly and responsive. They were quick to solve a small problem with the phone--they just brought over a brand new phone! Everything works and everything is clean. There is enough storage space for your clothes and your suitcases (many Paris apartments have laughably minimal closets and no place to put empty luggage). The kitchen is comfortable for one person to cook in and contains all necessary appliances, pots, pans, etc. The bed and shower are large enough to contain my 6'5" husband--an important point! We delighted in the extensive library of travel books and novels. I especially appreciated how tasteful the decor is (many rentals seem to be furnished with hand-me-downs and throwaways). Since we still know people in Paris, we even entertained in this apartment. Our French friends were impressed, even jealous. Truly, you could live here permanently, it is that comfortable.
