The Kayak is a small fishing cabin that has been renovated on Legoe Bay at the site of the old Marina and fishing village.
The cabin is a studio and one bathroom. Kitchen has only sink, fridge ,micro and toaster oven. Main cooking is on grill on deck. Beautiful view, access to onsite boat ramp and beach. Island views, beautiful sunsets.
Kayak and boating are the draw as well as walking and bicycling. This is not your modern fancy home but a cute cabin and romantic Island eco adventure. Enjoy one of the two Island restaurants or cook on the grill with fabulous views of islands and sunsets.
If you are a kayaker, use this as a home base and paddle to Clark Island Park about 2 miles or for the adventurous Sucia or Matia Island one of the most beautiful park islands in the US only 10 miles.
If you are a novice stay near and enjoy Legoe Bay. Biking is great and this is the longest stretch on the Island with flat roads and view of the water. You will see eagles, otters and seals and during the whale season the Orcas frequent the bay.
Tired of the hotel type experience come visit the Kayak for some down to earth island living.
