Welcome to Haynies Hideaway!! Our cabana is perfect for a couple, small family, or a couple of fishing buddies. The vaulted ceilings and big half moon window make our place very bright,open and roomy.
You are just steps from warm blue waters, and an endless stretch of beach. If you like to get up and walk out your door, and just a few steps away look for shells or cast a line, this is the place. We have a well-lighted fish cleaning table, private walkway to beach, picnic tables, outdoor grills and of course an outdoor shower.
Our unit is a 1 room studio, located among 39 other stand alone units located right on the ocean. We have 3 private decks and from the top deck you can actually see both sound and ocean. We supply 21" cable TV/DVD player, CD/Stereo, stainless steel microwave, full stove, full size refridge with ice maker, all utensils,pots pans, blender, pillows, mattress pad and comforter.
Our sleeper sofa is queen, and its wide enough that our daughter sleeps on the sofa without pulling the bed out. "Very comfy"
Outdoor furniture includes table 4 chairs, picnic table and Adirondack chairs. A guest storage locker is available for our guests to store boogie boards, beach chairs etc.Basically just add FUN!!!

Why the Owner Chose Hatteras Village
It's a very easy non stressful drive down Hwy 12 to get to our cabana. After you leave the Nags Head area is about 60 miles. I must say some of the prettiest scenery you will ever see. Hatteras is very remote and has some of the best off shore fishing. Actually several people have won the local fishing tournaments just fishing in front of the cabanas. There is a small mariners museum close by. Or just jump on the Ferry and spend the day at Ocracoke.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio
The best thing we liked about our cabana was it was affordable, on the beach and we didn't have to rent a big house with a bunch of people. We are so close to the beach that once you need a refill on a cold drink or you want a sandwich just a short walk to the cabana and you can get it. We have seen a lot of dolphin ,whales and some little harbor seals out front of the cabana. Your kids will love to go beach combing or just building a sand castle.

My husband Kelly and I have loved the Outer Banks for many years. We stayed in many different places. Our aunt had bought one of the cabanas back in the early 1990's and we stayed for a weekend and we were hooked.What a great place. On the beach, affordable, small but has everything you need. We have 1 daughter, 2 dogs, and a cat.We love to go boating and love Hatteras Island.

Haynie's Hideaway is "all that and more". Perfectly appointed, well stocked with everything a vacationer could want or need and more. What a great place to relax and have fun. Sunrise on the beach was spectacular and nightly fires on the beach, complete with s'mores and a sky full of stars couldn't have been more relaxing. Even when we had some rainy/colder weather, sitting inside playing Scrabble and listening to music (all provided by the owner) was very enjoyable. This is definitely a place we plan on going back to time and time again. Thank you Haynies for such a wonderful and memorable vacation!!

My husband, son and I just spent a week in the Haynie's beautiful cabana. Everything we could have wanted was there for us! The porches had amazing views. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the top deck watching the stars and the waves while you enjoy your favorite beverage! The cabana is so close to the beach. It was wonderful to just walk out the door and over the dunes to the best beach I have ever been on. The beach was never crowded and the sand is so soft. I truly didn't want to leave the cabana and now have dreams of living on the Outer Banks myself.

The Cabana was a wonderful place to stay. A great Kitchen if you want to cook or great restaurants in Hatteras. Owners of Haynies Hideaway were excellent to work with. The porches and view were excellent. It is a place you must choose and stay. We have not had such a relaxing and lovely vacation like this. The beach is just lovely. The cabana was very comfortable and decorated with cute stuff. You must read the cabana book from past guest. Very delightful reading. We will come back to stay again. A must do is the lighthouses and Oracoke.

We stayed at this cabana last year and have to say it was fabulous. Very pretty inside- decor gorgeous- everything you could possibly need. It was out first time to Hatteras and our only complaint was that we had to leave! We are going back this year for a longer vacation ...and taking the inlaws! Gorgeous beaches beside cabanas- best we have experienced in USA so far. Fishing on the beach- the Sound nearby for calmer waters to swim or float in - very warm water. Lots of stores around to buy provisions- gifts etc- try Kaia’s Kitchen across from Dolphin Realty for best bagels EVER! We love Hatteras & the cabanas & intend to return every year. Unfortunately Haynies Hideaway was not available this year during the time we wanted but it is a gorgeous cabana & we highly recommend it.

Thanks for letting us stay at Haynies Hideaway. We love your decor, and all of the fun stuff in your cabana. Movies were great, and we loved sipping adult beverages on your top deck and watching the ocean!! Hatteras rules.
