Our family has always owned a vacation home in Ocean City from the times the kids were little to now when they bring their children and their children's children! We love Caine Woods because it's in such a lovely quiet neighborhood, away from the highway, and so close to anywhere you could possibly want to go!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love spending the day at the beach and coming home and jumping in the pool. Then we head upstairs to start grilling our dinner on the upper balcony, feeding the ducks from our boat dock (be sure to bring several loaves of bread for them) and watching the stunning sunset!

The place is a disaster waiting to happen..It is filthy. Dirty wrappers under the beds. There is MOLD in the bottom level living room and bathroom. My wife got sick from it. Had to go to emergency medical. The floor vents are broken so someone, especially the little ones, can get seriously hurt. All the screening is ripped or pulled apart on the porch or the sliding doors. Some lights you have to turn on & off by turning the bulb. The roof leaks. The furniture is ripped and held together with black duct tape. The pool's filter system could be better. These are just some of the issues with this place..Definitely WOULD NOT recommend. Had correspondence with the owner after we came back. She could not believe what we were saying. She takes the word of her workers, who tell her a different story, as this is absentee management. We spoke to the neighbor and he knows the shape of the place. The owner refunded us for the EMERGENCY MEDICAL visit. We paid money to stay in a dirty, run down place. The pictures look good but they must have been taken years ago. The set up could be nice. BUT, Stay some where else..There are plenty of other cleaner places.
Owner response:We have a beautiful vacation home which we do maintain. When we are advised of anything that is not satisafactory, we investigate and address the issue. We believe this renter took our neighbor’s comments out of context. we were informed that this group was the worst group to ever stay in this house; the smell of the marijuana wafting from our balcony to theirs actually made our neighbors sick. We have a cleaning crew of three who come in immediately after a tenant leaves. If they missed a couple of wrappers under one bed, we so apologize for that. We feel that our cleaning crew of three people, working for five hours, do leave the house very clean. We have checked with subsequent renters as they arrive, and we have had NO complaints on cleanliness; in fact have been told the house was spotless. The downstairs screens were ripped, we believe, from other sources, by this renter’s three dogs. We repaired them. We were informed of the broken vents and had these replaced right away. We had our cleaning crew check for mold as there had been a terrific amount of rain. No mold was discovered, but it was treated anyway. We attempted to work this out with the renter, but were told they would write a nasty review unless we paid them $1,100. We believe this renter’s ruthless attack on our property is fallacious and unfounded . We have worked hard to maintain our property and have many very happy and satisfied renters who return year after year. Thanks for the review; everyone has a right to their opinion. And we do appreciate feedback, but we feel this was completely unsubstantiated by anyone else and malicious coercion in order to extract an enormous sum of money from us in return for not writing an outrageously insulting review. Please read the review immediately below this renter’s view. We also received great thanks and compliments, and a promise to return next year, from the people who stayed immediately after this tenant.

My family of 16 stayed at this house this year in July.. We had plenty of room for everyone.. The pool was GREAT to hang out in on the VERY hot days. The boat dock was great to have when we rented our boat! Close to Harpoon Hannahs..The third floor party room was so much fun and a TON of room..Having two kitchens to cook in was a plus.. We even had our pets with us so they could enjoy the family vacation to! Thanks Jill and Mary Bell :)

This property is a dump. The description sounds good but it is a dirty place to stay. We went and left after a few hours because it was unsafe for our children. There were mouse traps set up and nails sticking up through carpets. We asked the owner for a partial refund and she never called us back.
Owner response:We truly regret this renter was unhappy with our place and we strongly disagree with his statement that our vacation home is dirty or unsafe. We have our house thoroughly cleaned by a professional cleaning company after each guest leaves. Our entire family stays in the house frequently, and we feel perfectly safe bringing our children, our grandchildren and our dog. As this guest arrived in mid-September, there may have been mousetraps set, as most owners do, when the season ends and the weather starts to get cold. We still are not aware of any nails sticking through any carpet; if we become or are made aware of any problems at all, the situation will be remedied immediately by our local, qualified maintenance man.
