Many many thanks to Bob and Elinor for the use of the beautiful log cabin home. We were very comfortable just like being at home. The peace and serenity was just wonderful. We took a couple of day trips to Yosemite and coming back to the cabin in the evening was great for a relaxing evening. Enjoyed sitting out on the patio, whether early morning or early evening drinking coffee. The atmosphere was just very pleasant and enjoyable as was the weather. Thank you again Bob and Elinor.

We were four adults aged 30 to 65. The house is beautiful and fitted with every conceivable convenience. Bob and Elinor could not have been more helpful. We should like to have spent much more time there. The cleanliness was faultless. Highest possible recommendation.

Spring Break 2011 - Wonderfully equipped vacation home. This property is exceptionally well maintained with all the amenities required for a trouble free vacation. The kitchen contains everything required for preparing meals in the home. Plenty of extra blankets and linens for cold nights - although the wood burning fire kept us warm throughout our stay. Deck has table and chairs for outdoor dining. BBQ and fire pit outside along with additional outdoor table & chairs for the complete outdoor dining experience. Master bedroom has immaculate shower and oversize jacuzzi tub. 2nd bathroom also has large shower. Full computer access plus WiFi coverage for those of us that just can't break the leash from work, or you just want to do online research for local attractions. Nearby Mariposa has several restaurants and breakfast houses if you don't want to spend time in the well equipped kitchen. A short 45 min drive puts you at the park West entrance. Also conveniently located for Sugar Pine Mountain Railway and travel up to the South entrance via Mariposa Groves. The owners Bob & Elinor have built a wonderful vacation home. Highly recommended!

Bob and Elinor are wonderful hosts who attempt to provide absolutely everything. Their home is kept immaculately, perhaps better than our own! There were six people in our group ranging from 14 to 82 years of age, and each were equally sad to leave this beautiful, tranquil location. After long days spent at Yosemite, we all looked forward to our return to Bob and Elinor's grand cabin for a game of Wii, monopoly or s'mores around the fire pit. Truly one of our most loved vacations. Thank you once again, Bob and Elinor.

New Years at the log cabin

Cooked, walked, relaxed, played board games and brought in the New Year. We love the place but could have used a rolling pin, but I suppose not many people make their own pizza in a cabing. PS: There is now a rolling pin for pizza. We had wood burning fires every day to enjoy. Staying at this log cabin is highly recommended.

We took two trips to Yosemite and it was Dorthys first visit to Yosemite. Loved all the views and snow along the river banks and in the trees. Took the kids to Badger Pass for their first snow boarding adventure. AWESOME! Our family loves the log cabin and this is our second trip. Bob and Elinor have a beautiful place. Pioneer Market in Mariposa is a great place to get all your needs from forgotten tooth brush to Italian sausage for your spagetti sauce.

Very lovely!! We 6 plus 2 dogs enjoyed ourselves in your log home and the whole area. Our son in law cooking all wonderful gourmet meals in the gourmet kitchen. Thank you so much for all of the household amenities we had. Loved Prince visiting us each day.

Wonderful weather 70 to 90. This cabin is better than any 5 star hotel and a great experience. Loved the bathtub (we all did including 18 month old Gracie). Desi our dog loved the space. Yosemite was awesome. Loved having the space and amenities to relax, cook and spend time with the family.

The weather was 55^ at night and got up to 90^ during the day and was 70^ at Yosemite. We visited both Yosemite and Kings Canyon in 3 days and it was beautiful. Rafted the Merced river and was a fantastic trip. Finished the week by driving Hwy. 49 to the little town of Coulterville. Great host and hostess. They created a great vacation home and we thank you. We drove to Sequoia National Forest to see the big trees. The park is a lot less crowded and has a lot of beauty. Ran out of time, but the park has so many great trails. Highly recommend driving up to Hetch Hatchy to see the dam and walk the trails.

Hello Bob and Elinor: You asked us for our opinions to help you make any changes or improvements in your vacation rental. Here are a few observations we made Being this is a brand new house and you have decorated it with all new furniture and appliances you certainly rate high for desirability. Having the big flat panel TV with the satellite channels and music was great. Having Internet access is even batter because most renters today utilize the Internet for planning and research. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. It would have been nice to have another sharp knife such as a pealing knife. Also, a carrot peeler would come in handy. Having the toaster oven was great, we used it a couple of times. The master bedroom and bathroom are great. We really enjoyed the large shower but we didn't get to use the tub. Maybe next time. You really have done a great job with the lighting both inside and out. Having the motion detectors is nice when arriving after dark. Having access to the pond was great. Kassy really enjoyed it and it was nice ot be able to do a little fishing too. All in all we rate your place an A+. We would recommend it to anyone planning to visit Mariposa. Thanks for everything. You two are wonderful hosts.
