The Dunleavey (pronounced dun LOVE e ) is a beautiful, Non-Smoking, La Jolla Shores House which is just one block (500 feet) from Beach (West) or two from Village (South), walk to down town La Jolla. Just 15 minutes to Sea World and 20 minutes to the Airport and San Diego's World Famous Zoo. 100% Furnished. Need only bring your beach clothes and evening attire for sunset dining in La Jolla.
We have created a retreat for a group or a family looking to enjoy great weather, clean ocean, warm beaches, fabulous parks with swings, and excellent dining nearby. We can e-mail pictures and floor plan, E-mail or fax the rental application, and confirm availability.
We have an outdoor hot and cold shower to cool down after a stoked filled surf session. Breakfast on the deck in the morning sun. House is very private and fully gated with front gate locks securing the property, as well as family inside.
Nearby are the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Balboa Park, Scripps Aquarium, Carlsbad Flower Fields, Coronado Island, and Mexico is just 60 minutes to the south. About one mile from the house is the public La Jolla Tennis Club and Recreation Center with Gym and great playground. Summer programs (i.e. Day Camps) for children are available daily. Jump into the water at La Jolla Shores to Scuba dive in the Natural Reserve, learn to surf or ocean kayak.

Walk to the Beach and enjoy the waves
VRBO Bear stayed here - 04/06/2009 When I stepped into The Dunleavey, I was welcomed by the bright rays of sunshine and beautiful view through the numerous windows facing the ocean. Upstairs, I enjoyed the spacious den and the wide open kitchen which was equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and all the “bear” necessities. I was excited about the upstairs master bedroom where I could relax in the king size bed and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. I had my very own private bathroom, including two sinks, a large shower and a walk-in closet. The large windows and sliding glass door that opened to the perfect view of the beach was my favorite feature of the master bedroom. Downstairs, I had the choice of staying in one of three bedrooms, all wonderfully furnished with lots of room to invite my bear friends. In the morning, I was able to enjoy a breakfast out on the deck in the sunny La Jolla weather.
Outside of the home, I loved being able to walk to the beach and spend time surfing or just dipping my paws in the soft, warm sand. While in La Jolla, I favored the small shops and delectable restaurants, which were all in walking distance of The Dunleavey! I was even able to visit some of my friends at The Wild Animal Park and the world famous San Diego Zoo which were within a short drive. Overall, The Dunleavey is a very relaxing beach home for a family large or small!
