Nice and clean, newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single story beach cottage on stilts. The cottage is located on Wrightsville Ave. between the highways in Kill Devil Hills, NC at Mile Post 9 1/2. Enjoy gathering around the spacious bar separating the dining room and the new modern kitchen with dishwasher and microwave.
Within walking distance of many of the restaurants like Wendy’s, Burger King, McDonald’s, Mama Kwan’s, Dare Devil Pizza, Pigman’s BBQ, Pizza Hut, Arby’s, Bob’s Grill, Miller’s, Five Guys, and many more. Various stores for shopping are also within walking distance. Wings beach store, 7-11 and an ice cream stand are all within 1 block.
The cottage has 1 queen bed (master), 2 single beds (2nd bedroom), 1 pyramid bed (twin over full) and 1 twin (3rd bedroom). Leave that high chair at home, we have one waiting for you. Hardwood floors throughout the kitchen, dining area and family room. Leave the windows open and enjoy the cool summer breezes and ceiling fans or relax with the central air on. If you love the sun, you will enjoy full sun on the south deck from sunrise to sunset. The furnished screened porch is my favorite as you can enjoy a cool breeze in the shade and lookout over the neighborhood. We prefer to rent to adults and families as this is a family centered beach town.
In the spring and fall you can watch the birds migrate up and down the coast. The cottage is only a short walk from the beach where there is direct public access and a life guard stand. Relax and enjoy the beauty of the Outer Banks in this beach-themed, fully equipped cottage Lots of personal touches and amenities to make you feel right at home.
The cottage has plenty of parking with the double concrete drive. There is a storage room underneath the cottage containing a washer/dryer, tub sink, toilet and plenty of space to store your fishing rods and beach accessories. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water is located on the ground floor along with a hose and spigot to wash the sand off your feet or to wash your car. The charcoal park style grill is a favorite among the guests.
Come to the outer banks for a nice quiet vacation and enjoy the uncrowded beaches, ride bikes, or for just being lazy. You will be within walking distance of restaurants, drug stores and shopping, and will enjoy spectacular sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean.
You will be located near the Wright Brothers Memorial, Outlet Mall, Manteo, Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony Play, North Carolina Aquarium, Jockeys Ridge State Park, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Fishing Piers and Charter Boat Fishing. We highly recommend the beautiful drive down Rt. 12 through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and a visit to the Currituck Lighthouse, and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Why the Owner Chose Kill Devil Hills
We have been vacationing on the Outer Banks since 1983 and we rented for 11 years. Then one trip we decided to look into how hard it would be to buy a house and here we are over 25 years later.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our cottage is located at what the locals refer to as "French Fry Alley". Located between the highways and walking distance to a true variety of businesses and the beach that has a lifeguard station. Three surf shops are located within a 1/2 block. Also a 7-11, Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's, Arby's, Pizza Hut, Mama Kwan's, Miller's, Dare Devil Pizza (my favorite spot), Bob's Grill, CVS, Walgreen's and many, many other places.
Nags Head Hammocks makes the best hammocks and chairs on the East Coast.

We had a wonderful sun filled vacation at the Chandler Cottage this past week. We were very impressed with the remodeling in this home. Everything was comfortable and the beach is just a few blocks away. We biked and walked around the area. For being in the heart of Kill Devils Hill the traffic on this street is very light. We loved being close to the Cape Hatteras National Seashore for a day trip to Ocracoke. We look forward to a return trip in the future! Thank you again for the great vacation experience in your home.
