    • We just spent a lovely week at the Somes House.....what a gem! The beds, bedding, towels, and pillows were luxurious, and the home is a trip into the past of the best of Maine. Nothing was forgotten in supplying the home with everything we needed. Our last evening was a sit-down dinner for 8 in a grand dining room with lobsters, fresh corn, and great friends. The "Somesville Library" across the street even let me check out the local must reads ---- The Secret Life of Lobsters, and the Lobster Chronicles. The Somes House owners Diane and Win were great and were in the area to make sure our visit was memorable. Be sure to go to the Beech Hill organic farmers' market nearby and the Consignment Shop down the street. Acadia National Park is amazing, and go to Jordan Pond for popovers and lobster stew! We will be back!
