Only steps away from a beautiful, private beach perfect for swimming, boating, kayaking or other water activities you will feel totally relaxed and at home here. Situated on an extra-large, professionally landscaped lot with some water views, stone wall and patio, you'll have plenty of room to stretch out on the large front and side lawns. Store your bikes and kayaks in the separate garden shed.
After a day at the beach, step into the new enclosed outdoor shower with fieldstone stepping stones, river rocks, ferns, IPE floor, and changing area with teak bench. While you shower, take in views to the water, sky and flowering shrubs.
The first floor “great room” combines the living room area with gas fireplace and built-in for music/flatscreen TV with a modern cook's kitchen and intimate dining area. Two bedrooms on the main floor and a large third bedroom or work/study space with skylight on the second provide for convenience and restful nights.
The cottage is in pristine condition with all new furnishings, gleaming hardwood floors, gas log fireplace, air conditioning and Maytag and GE high-end kitchen appliances and washer/dryer. The kitchen is well equipped for those who love to cook and includes a side-by-side refrigerator with through the door ice/water dispenser for those summer drinks, quiet dishwasher, microwave, glass-top range, in-sink disposal, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, plenty of dishes and glassware, including both red and white wine glasses, and quality stainless steel flatware.
The house is located within 5 minutes of interstate 95 providing easy access to all that CT has to offer, yet it feels totally away from it all.
This Chapman Beach area home can be your vacation home this summer. The owners are non smokers and looking for the same in a renter. No pets.

Being here is magical. The house and its setting are so relaxing. Friendly neighbors. Proximity to Hammonasset State Park-- a beautiful place to walk, run, bird, picnic, swim, etc. We are close enough to several major cities, yet away from it all.

We failed to bring the quest book home with us to transcribe comments. Everyone who has stayed at our cottage has really loved it, saying it is the one of the best places they've stayed for a really great vacation. The house is well equipped and very comfortable and if it was for sale, they'd like to buy it! Our academic rental came back for a second year, and we are expecting repeat business.
