Why the Owner Chose Island Royale
We chose this particular condominium in Island Royale because it is a small building compared to the mega buildings that have been built recently. Because it is smaller, there are fewer guests in the building and on the beach, even during the high season. It is well built and has good amenities like the fitness center and the indoor/outdoor pool. We love being on the top floor because of the breathtaking view and the advantage of not having any one over us.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
When we are at Island Royale we enjoy the wide expanse of beach. Even on the 16th floor, we can hear the crashing of the waves and the call of the seagulls. The location is convenient to town and it takes only a few minutes to shop for food or to even walk to a local restaurant.

My brother and I grew up in Mobile and we spent many summers and a lot of weekends coming to Gulf Shores. This has always been our second home and we know the roads, water ways and sand dunes of this area like the backs of our hands. Our families have grown and we are always needing more housing in which to gather and to enjoy the beautiful Gulf.

We just returned from a perfect week at this condo! Our whole family (my husband and I, our 5 and 3 year old kids, and our newborn) had just a fabulous time. This condo is beautiful and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for all the baby gear~even the papasan swing we brought fit in the master bedroom with no problem. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed having breakfast and lunch in the unit most days. The view from the balcony was amazing! I didn't realized we were staying in the penthouse~what a happy surprise! And the assigned parking spot was right next to the elevator which made unloading groceries (or kids!) super easy! We also loved the pool. It's on the side of the building, so usually at least half of the pool was shady. So our newborn and I could hang out in the lounge chairs in the shade while the big kids and Daddy played in the pool. The owner, Lark, was such a pleasure to work with and seemed excited for us that we were taking a much needed vacation before school started! We had such a wonderful time, and we look forward to staying here again!
