WHAT A FABULOUS VACATION HOME. THIS WAS OUR THIRD CHRISTMAS IN MURPHY, AND THE ONLY THING THAT COULD HAVE MADE IT MORE ENJOYABLE WOULD HAVE BEEN A REPEAT OF THE 2010 BLIZZARD! EVEN WITHOUT THE SNOW, WE LOVED THE VIEWS AND THE WILDLIFE.WE WILL RETURN TO MOUNTAIN VIEWS.

Escape from it all-Total relaxation

This mountain home provided a much needed escape from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. This beautiful home was furnished with everything. Absolutely loved the view!, The fall leaf colors were just breathtaking and I realized how much I have missed the changes of the seasons living in Fllorida. We absolutely loved sitting in front of the gas lit rock fireplace everynight. We drove to the Bald River Falls in Tellico Plains,TN. which is about a half hour drive from the cabin. It was a beautiful scenic drive and the waterfall was spectactular! The owners were most helpful and responsive to any questions prior to our trip and have even returned our deposit within a week of our departure. The only negative was we did not want to leave. It exceeded our wildest expectations. We will definitely come back.

This cabin is immaculate, tastefully decorated and very well equipped...it was private, and yet close enough (within 15 mins) of Murphy, restaurants etc. We rented a pontoon style boat on Lake Hiwasee for an absurdly low price and took off for a day with our kids .... it doesn't get much more relaxing than that! Wild life abounds in the area, and the mountains are truly stunning....lovely view from the master bedroom deck! Thanks to Diane and Ray for a lovely week.

Owner response:Thanks for the kind words. WE tried to equip our place like you would at home - so we are glad folks notice the "little things" that make our place comfy. Like the recliners on both living levels for us "baby boomer" backs! After a day of hiking the mountains - those chairs ROCK. WE feel blessed to own this home & share with others. My husband and I and our two children ages 3 and 7 had the best time at this cabin!!!! IT's 3 floors and has everything you could ever ask for...Hot tub...ping pong...full kitchen...cable, large screen tvs, etc.. The town of Murphy isn't far and there are plenty of activities...fishing, hiking, Mountain train rides, horseback riding, shopping!! It's fabulous!! The deck wraps around the entire cabin and the view is outstanding!! Our 3 year old daughter keeps asking when we are going back!!! There's a Super Walmart in town where we do most of our grocery shopping we made dinner at home every night on the BBQ.

Great mountain getaway

This beautiful mountain chalet is all it is advertised to be. Peaceful, quiet location, great mountain views and very nicely decorated. They have thought of everything you might need. We went for the color changes of fall and weren't disappointed.The ping pong table was a lot of fun too. We'll definetely be back.

Breathtaking Venue

Relaxing in a hot tub in the mountains, fishing in a privately stocked lake, viewing the breathtaking view of the fall colors; my husband and I enjoyed a treat on our second wedding anniversary. The house was well-maintained, beautifully furnished in a rustic fashion, and stocked with entertainment features--DVD's, WiFi, ping pong (hadn't played that since I was a kid). To our delight, our little dog was welcomed & he loved the local trails. People in the Murphy area were so friendly and helpful; rafting on the Ocoee River was just a few miles away. We highly recommend this retreat as a pleasurable site and would love to return some day.

God's Country-great for relaxation, fun and the whole family

This was the first vacation that our family has taken in 7 years and I can't thank Diane enough for the opportunity to make it the most fun, exciting and relaxing vacation ever! The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need. It was plenty of room for a family of 6, we had 2 to a floor and there was even more room. The view is so gorgeous, it's hard to describe the beauty of nature and the wild. To see baby deer, humming birds and God's mighty hand on His great canvas is awesome! We call it God's country! Diane and Ray are truly generous to share this amazing chalet with strangers! Diane is a very dear person to work with and so sweet. Everyone that has the chance to spend time at this chalet will be so very blessed and glad they did. There are a ton of fun things to do around the area, some you drive a little way, but definitely worth it! You will be a new, relaxed and refreshed person after staying at this wonderful place. Great Chalet!

The chalet was a real treat. Great spot on the side of the mountain and nothing but peace surrounds you. The house is well appointed with a theme of fishing---all done in a whimsical fashion--nothing over the top or too overdone. Comfy couches and great living space to spread out. Decks are huge and provide great areas to sit in the rocking chairs while grilling up some steaks. The house comes with great supplies for most anything you require. Would recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors, peace, and the tranquility the mountains can offer. Diane is great and super helpful in support of her guests--Thank you! Drive time to DT Murphy is about 25 minutes.

We loved the cabin. The 3 kids stayed downstairs and loved their "man cave" with great TV, ping pong table, and privacy. We loved the upstairs---one couple in the master suite in the loft and the other couple in the bedroom on the main floor. We cooked several meals and enjoyed the roomy kitchen. We went ziplining in Gatlinburg one day and white water rafting another day. Both were just a little drive from the cabin. The views are great, and drinking morning coffee and afternoon beers on the deck is a treat. The owners are great and dealt with my mixed up cashier's check efficiently. We will definintely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time, the view is great. The layout is second to none and has everything you need for a great vacation. My kids enjoyed the fishing, close by boating, horseback riding in TN. The fire pit was most popular for roasting marshmellows each night. I personally enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning overlooking the mountains which was an amazing sight

We visited June 6-13, 2009 and had a wonderful, peaceful time. The chalet was beautifully decorated and spacious. The furnishings are top of the line, right down to the plushy bathtowels. The ping pong table was really fun for the boys and kept them entertained for hours. Of course, the hot tub at night under the stars, was the icing on the cake. Thank you for allowing us to use your chalet.....we'll be back!!!

We toook the kids to stay in this wonderful cabin for spring break. It is easy to get to but remote enough to feel away from the big city. We loved the cabin - it is beautifully decorated and warm and cozy. It snowed while we were there (yes, in april it snowed) and the kids had a blast building a small snowman on the deck. We got to use the fireplace, which was a wonderful treat, being from Florida. We saw deer, wild hogs with babies, and many other wild animals. The hot tub was a nice treat and the kids loved playing ping pong! The rental and deposit return were the easiest I have ever dealt with. I definitely highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cabin in the mountains that is conveniently located. We went to Cherokee, NC, Chattanooga, TN, and Six Flags while there for a week - all easy drives! We plan to go back in the fall perhaps to see the leaves change!
