My sister and I are both professionals living and working in New York City. I love coming to our house on the weekends and relaxing with my husband and 2- year old daughter. My sister, who is a publishing heavyweight and has been featured on an episode of the hit show "Selling New York" loves escaping the frenzy of Manhattan to a quiet and peaceful space out east where she can recharge for the next busy work week. (In case you caught the episode it was called "Turning 40").
Why the Owner Chose East Hampton
We decided to purchase a home in East Hampton because we love the area and the beautiful beaches. After spending our childhood summers with family in Greece, we wanted to purchase something that reminded us of summers by the water, but closer to home. After visiting East Hampton one summer, we fell in love with not only the beaches but the sheer beauty of the East End!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our house is perfectly situated in the quiet and secluded area of the Northwest woods, yet only three miles from East Hampton Village. We like to take our baby for bike rides to various nature preserves, bays and beaches, stop for lunch at a local spot for a delicious lobster roll and round out our weekends with friends hosting a backyard bbq. We also enjoy having dinner out at one of the many great restaurants in town or in one of the surrounding towns. My sister's ideal weekend starts off with a workout at one of the local spin studios or yoga studios, followed by a massage at one of the great spas in town, then spending the rest of a sunny afternoon poolside with friends. Since the pool is solar heated it is always warm and comfortable for adults and children.
