Engelzar cabin is a 5 bedroom, 3 bath luxury log cabin. Located in the quiet community of Tobacco Branch, minutes from Lake Fontana, Tsali Trails, Nantahala River, Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.
Our 3100 sf cabin has a beautiful covered front porch with rockers and large newly covered back deck perfect for grilling and enjoying the scenery. Additional conveniences are Direct TV, WIFI access, and the secluded hot tub under a beautiful gazebo.
The main floor includes a great room with wood burning fireplace, dining room with table that seats 10, fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, laundry room, full bath, and master bedroom with a queen size bed. Upstairs you will find a loft reading area with two massage recliners, two bedrooms (1-queen size bed, 1 full/twin bunk with twin trundle) and a full bathroom. Our basement includes a family room/game room with pool table, air hockey table, big screen TV, and PlayStation 2. You will also find two bedrooms with queen size beds and a full bathroom. Our home will sleep up to 12 guests.

We visited Bryson City for the Polar Express adventure and stayed in this cabin for the weekend. It was our family of 4, my in-laws, my parents and my cousin. We all were very comfortable. The photos were exactly the same as they are on the website. The kids enjoyed the game room and the hot tub as well as we did. The cabin was very clean and spacious. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends and family.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Wonderful location for our Thanksgiving Retreat!

We rented Engelzar so we could have a mini-family reunion for Thanksgiving this year. We had families from 3 different states all rendezvous in Bryson City for a Thanksgiving weekend and a ride on the Polar Express. The cabin was very comfortable for our group of 12 which included 5 children age 7 and under! Very comfortable sleeping arrangements and a very well stocked kitchen for cooking and serving a huge Thanksgiving Dinner. I can't even think of anything that we lacked during the preparation or serving of Thanksgiving Dinner (and we make a lot of food)! Huge bedrooms, great game room with pool, air hockey and a large TV with a Playstation 2 (games included). The well stocked game closet came in handy with the kids. From the deck with picnic tables out back to the rockers on the front porch, this cabin has everything that you need for a large group. Although we didn't use it, the hot tub on the deck was very inviting. We didn't use the gas grill either, but it was nice to have it available just in case. One of the best parts (in our opinion) is that the approach to the cabin is very easy compared to many that we looked at. If you haven't rented a cabin in the Smokys, this is something that you need to ask about before you sign a contract. There are many beautiful cabins out there, but the access to some of them can really stress you out, if you know what I mean. Engelzar was very easy to find and to get to, and I had no problem renting it knowing that my kids and grandkids would be able to get there without a problem. The photos are accurate, although the game room is larger than it appears in the photo. More than adequate parking for our 3 SUVs and a utility trailer. Very clean and very well maintained. Enough dishes to feed an army and everything that you need to cook for one too! We also highly recommend the Polar Express train ride in Bryson City. We went after dark and the lights along the way were very pretty and the staff on the train made the trip a very enjoyable one for adults as well as the kids. Great places to eat in Bryson City are the Everett Street Diner and Jimmy Mac's on Main Street. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! I highly recommend Engelzar.
